Awesome design on Liadri! TY!
I have to say, when fighting Liadri, the last thing I even thought about was “OMG terrible camera view!”. I enjoyed it a great deal.
Better be a troll thread.
You had fun on light up the darkness? People hardly have fun on the regular achievment if you really did have fun on the light up darkness you’d have to be the kind of person that loves pure torture.
Maybe he’s the type of person that appreciates something that challenges him, and feels fulfilled when able to overcome the challenge through perseverance.
That hardly makes him love pure torture. Rather, it just makes you bitter when others enjoy content that you don’t.

yes I did have fun doing it. Was it hard? Hell yeah! It took me 60 tickets to get it. But I did it in 3 days. 20 tickets a day or so, so I didn’t burn myself out. And each day I notice the big improvement in fighting her.
I thinking most people burn themselves out cuz they attempt a challenge and expect success in one sitting.
I’m actually surprised Anet didn’t try to make us buy the tickets. Guess they are learning after all. I have about 100 or so, I’m hoping they will sell to merchants like the fortunes did. Lol
Oh the next event will consist of an npc, with a que. When you are up he kicks you in the …. and you can either leave afterwards or get back in line.

i can’t tell if troll or if stupid elitist.
PS. as for the poor camera view people are complaining about, it’s fine imo. It’s just part of the mechanic/challenge. It doesn’t stop you from defeating Liadri.
Please, I beg of you, spare a token to do the fight again (optionally without turning Post Processing off, as doing that is in ways cheating). Now, before you go at it, in the Options, tick that little box next to the phrase: “Disable Area of Effect Rings”. Now you have the full experience of the arena, as someone who is color weak/blind. Is the camera just fine now?
No, but I do agree though, it does not stop you from defeating Liadri, but it sure doesn’t help when you can’t see any red rings due to a “disability” with colors, combined with what I consider to be a terrible arena design. Aesthetically they do look rather nice though, I’ll have to say the whole zone is something I find to be absolutely beautiful, but aesthetics shouldn’t always trumph function, and the arenas are not designed around function.
Seafarer’s Rest
its great indeed. and it must be horrble for the devs to see the stream of tears in their forums every day – just because the 99% that arent winers are busy playing. thats why i like positive threads
but: the camera is poor.
Use a norn and tell me again about the camera.
They didn’t test it with the bigger races, that’s for sure.

“elitist”
I hear that word more on these forums than anywhere else. As if it’s a crime to actually BE GOOD at video games and desire challenges that require you to BE GOOD too complete them.
For the record, I like the Liandri fight. I feel that the mechanics being essentially oneshot was a bit heavy handed (fight could have still been plenty challenging if they were all 2-shots) I felt that the timers were unecessary added difficulty. I felt that anet needs to take even more notes on how hard it is to see r5ed circles on certain types of floors. I feel that once again the camera is proving a hindrance rather than a help in tight spaces.
It was not without its problems, but it WAS fun for me, and it was fun for a lot of other people. GW2 does a very good job of catering to social and low-twitch players, but is still pretty far behind on the “stuff you should actually get a title for” fare.
The game needs more hard stuff, and this was pretty hard, Felt good to finish it and I’m pretty proud of my new mini.

I know! People who feels entitle to get the achievements without putting in the effort/skills seem to be hating on people that finish them. If you’re going to QQ about how hard a content is, then you don’t deserve to get the achievement. It’s called an achievement for a reason.
Difficulty has nothing to do with it. It is a very poorly designed fight, and needed to actually be tested before it was released.

fyi you don’t have to be any good to be an elitists, just look at Cof p1 for example the zerk builds.
it doesn’t take skill to press 3 buttons then press 2 to win and nuke liadri down in 10 seconds.
heads up out dpsing a monster isn’t a skillful strategy its just the best in this game due to design.
