The “Keelhaul the fractalstealer [Kiel]” guild along with others will make a public demonstration on the Desolation server for the adding the Fall of Abaddon fractal at some point.

Places: LA marketplace and Divinity’s reach Crown Pavillion.

Req: Evon badges and enthusiasm, also a torch + a fiery dragon sword, if possible, as a symbol of light in the dark age of Kiel’s councillorship.

Date: 28th of August.

Note: we don’t want to bring back Evon or politics. Just his fractal. Quit being ignorant about this fact. Thank you.

you will just be spinning your wheels as the saying goes, as they made it perfectly clear in no uncertain terms they will NOT make both fractals; this was officially stated multiple times on multiple threads. The vote was to decide which one was built and winners fractal will be built. For someone to win someone has to lose, that said you are free to do as you wish as long as it falls in the rules of the code of conduct, but don’t expect them to circumvent their decision based on it.

- Those voting Evon because they like him or anything he would provide.
- Thse voting Kiel because they don’t what Evon to win for what he represents, namely the bad stuff they don’t like in the gem store, such as RNG boxes or skins sold as perishable items instead as unlocks.

Why I don’t mention “People voting Evon because they don’t like Kiel”? Because those are negligible. Kiel is too bland to get enough haters.

But by making the other choice a character related to the Store, they made that side lose. And that showed how there’s many room for improvement in the store, and how those annoying Nexon cahs milking tactics are not liked by lots of players and how they want Pay Once brought back from the GW1 days.

Agree. But the mere fact that everything was against Evon, his only valid reason was the fractal he offered and he still got 48% sums up how big the desire is.

Recently, I was traveling through Lion’s Arch, and I came across the replaced fountain with the giant Kiel hologram. This is a great insult to Team Gnashblade. It’s like Kiel is mocking us all.

I wish the Gem Store had pitchforks for sale. I’d buy them for this occasion!

I’d show up, but I’d probably have more entertaining things to do than read a map chat full of QQ’ing.

I had been an evon supporter and had voted plenty for him and the fractal he offered. However in the end I did not mind that kiel won. As much as I would have preferred an abbadon fractal there is still alot of potential for the other.

I think that such an act will be of no real consequence, I suppose it’s the thought that counts right?

On the bright side I won’t have to worry about a potential Zhaitan 2.0 fight :P

Nah. We aren’t protesting for Evon (that1s just the in-game part). Look, if you wanted the Reactor, I don’t mind it. But most of the Kiel supporters I met (and I met many), were voting because they didn’t care about the fractals (never played them) or want cheaper WP. Or just don’t care.

I know there is a reasonable Kiel base and I totally don’t want to offend them, but the thing is Kiel won this election with the combination of RNG hate/cuteness/fractal/WP/we knew her/don’t care about vote. While Evon only had a fractal as a notable offer.

I don’t want to overthrow Kiel (ofc I do, she is a filthy landlubber afterall, not pirate material), but this is about having both fractals, not one over anther or making a new election.

We are protesting for our fractal and ofc for fun!

Are we really still talking about this, seriously? Waypoints was part of the deal of Kiel winning? Because me, my guild, and my friends have had long, spirited discussions about this. We agreed that we could care less about the lower waypoint costs part. We wanted to see a fractal that was more based on the lore of guild wars 2 rather than pre-guild wars 1. And that Kiel was a better choice for the Lions Arch council than Evon.
We also agreed that the chances for a Fall of Abaddon fractal actually showing the Gods fighting was…less than the chance of getting a precursor, 0%. As there would be no way Anet would show this.

Whilst I don’t want to further an argument, your comment of “And without the cheaper WP IWin button kiel would have failed with 30-70% at least” doesn’t exactly promote your idea, nor does it say to me “we’re just doing it for fun”. I saw just as many people in map chat telling people to vote for Evon for cheaper keys as I did people thinking that cheaper WP costs actually meant anything substantial. I’m all for getting more fractals, why on earth should we be short-changed with just 1?

Personally I think it’s a big shame that we weren’t just given the both of them because we need more new content rather than gimmicky bonuses.

I’d certainly like to have the Fall of Abbadon fractal completed too. But I am so sick of this political stuff. I would gladly join in asking for the fractal, but not in a mob bashing the candidate that won the election.

This is why no matter how many ask we won’t get this fractal. Although the Fall of Abaddon was covered pretty well in Nightfall. He gave magic to humans and as humans always do they abused that gift. The Gods took it away after being brought to their attention him and his followers got mad and went to war. He lost was imprisoned in an disembodied state and plotted revenge that set the stage for the events of Prophecies, Factions, and finally Nightfall.

Which leaves room for people to be disappointed in Abaddon’s original godly form and the other five gods godly forms. I know they were ‘depicted’ on murals but as stated in a previous thread the artist couldn’t glance at them for a long time due to their form blinding a human’s eyes. It entirely possible that the forms depicted on the mural are of human creation same as the dervish avatar state.
