When the jubilee first started, the tickets were not character bound.
Each of my characters received an ingame mail with 5 tickets.
I put them all in my bank in one pile.

Now, for some reason, they are bound to a mule character.
Is there any possibility to bound them to my main character?

You shouldn’t have changed the item bound type on the tickets. The gauntlet is problematic enough as it is.

Yeah they really shouldn’t, but Anet frequently have a kind of knee-jerk reaction to things like this that they didn’t forsee.

As I understand it, the reason for the change was because people were sending their starting tickets from alts to their main, and perhaps creating new characters over and over and getting more? So that meant they wouldn’t have to spend a long time farming them up, and thus Anet stopped it.

I dunno why they didn’t just leave them as they are, and not give new tickets to characters created after the start of the event, but whatever.

tl;dr – you’re being punished because of a few “exploiters”.

I think it was the creating alts that did it. A better fix would have been to just mail you a bunch of tickets ONCE per account (instead of mailing each and every character), and leave the rest of the tickets account bound. Nothing like leveling a character, and getting ticket after ticket after ticket…shes lv 14, and has no hope of doing gauntlet stuff…

I did all the other stuff on a low lever toon, and then decided to check out the Gauntlet just to find out you have to be 80lvl + best gear to compete… so all my tickets are on a toon that wont be there till many many many moons after the gauntlet is gone. Really wish they would have thought about it more… but I guess this is what we get for 2week release content….

you have to know that collectors edition owners come with a 3 or 5d personal golem banker, so they’d create a new char, skip cut scene, open mail, open banker, transfer. Log to char select, delete said char. Repeat until fixed.

Bah, just do the Balloon Towers. They are so buggy by the time I finished I had about 250 to 300 tickets lol

I was doing gauntlet achievements while someone else at the dome was trying Liadri. I’d mentioned I had about 500 tickets on a character I didn’t want to do the gauntlet with and he said he didn’t want to do Liadri on the character he was on, but it was the one with all the tickets.

I’d say it’s a flawed system, but they probably want you spending your gold on tickets than actually using the ones that drop.

I guess that makes sense, despite the fact that these are easy enough to get anyways without exploiting. Probably also the reason they can’t be sold off either. Still, just makes it a waste of space for me.
