If you not going to make these kitten things killable at least prevent them from escaping their area. I managed to pull one all the way from the Searing Cauldron while attempting to get away from the kittener.

Then the entire center of the pavilion went ape-kitten because of the kitten thing.

Could you like…. I don’t know, fix the kitten leash distance or make them killable…. SOMETHING?

Oh god. Don’t tell me its a conjured greatsword troll vid.

Whoever designed this event was just trying to troll us. The challenge of the gauntlet is fun, but the camera mechanics, annoying NPCs that won’t shut up, the farming/buying of tickets for entry, the queues for gauntlet and the small dome arena for it are all major pains. Also, Conjured Annoying Greatsword.

They’re not actually NPCs. The Conjured Greatswords are Arenanet employees who’ve had it with complaining players. They’re letting off steam. Forum moderators get extra time in the Conjured Greatsword driver’s seat.

Every time someone posts a thread about conjured greatswords, I kite one more into spawn. Better not go afk!

The Greatswords can be killed with Retaliation. Have a bunch of players talk to the Ebonhawke Emissary to get the buff, then just stand in a group and let the Greatsword whirl through them a couple of times. (Or just get a Warrior/Guardian with good sustain and do the same.) The Greatsword will merrily kill itself within a few attacks.

I’m more annoyed at the hawks than I am the greatswords. The conjurations don’t make you have to do laundry.

The only annoying thing is that there hasn’t been a dodge daily in the past day or two when there was one of these GS’s near the spawn. Two or three dodge rolls through one of their attacks and that’s 1/5 to tick off my list. Other than that I was getting a good chuckle from being dropped into the overflow with one near the spawn last night.
