Farming Dead-Eye an exploit?
Yet it’s not.

Not so sure…
“An exploit is the misuse of a software feature or bug in a way that allows a player to generate in-game benefits without the risk or time expected by the game’s designers. It can involve the use of a third-party program and it includes generating currency, experience, or other things of value to players. It also includes actions that allow one player to gain a gameplay advantage over other players.” – Anet
“misuse of a software feature or bug”
None of that is involved in defeating Deadeye.

People were banned for buying karma food and selling it… soo…. ?

I would say earning thousands of gold in a few days with no risk falls in there somewhere…
People weren’t banned for farming cof p1, if there was an exploit with dead eye it would have been fixed days ago.
His teleport didn’t work before the last patch, if that’s what you’re thinking of but that’s been fixed.
sooooo? cof p1 is an exploit then? its not an exploit. BUT it could be bad considering people did get banned for the karma – gold exploit that krip got banned for. I’m pretty sure anet wouldn’t ban us for this as we are just farming and actually take some effort in doing it unlike the karma exploit
It’s not an exploit at all, even as admitted by ArenaNet. In their pre-edited patch notes, they stated that they made Deadeye harder to “reduce farming efficiency.” Nothing about fixing an exploit… or else they would have fixed it a long time ago.

I’d say fighting a boss that can 1-shot you, in an arena filled with mines that can one-shot you and while heavily handicapped does not in fact fall under the “no risk” category. Finding a way to circumvent those dangers while relying entirely on game mechanics is called a “strategy”, not an “exploit”.

Say, you were able to join the arena with 2 other people and all get the rewards or kill Deadeye Dunwell with 0 gambits yet get rewarded for 5 gambits.
THOSE are exploits.
Killing Dunwell while handicapping yourself, however, is not an exploit.
Farming Deadeye is not an exploit. You are taking a risk doing it, becouse you can die (what happens) and you must spend time farming it, so..
ANet just wasnt expecting that players will find a way to kill him in such easy way (lol).
“Exploit”
The favorite word of the scrub.
Actually, that’s not true. However, if you can only label it with a negative connotation or something that goes against your own, arbitary rule, you are most certainly a scrub that probably cries when someone throws you 5x in a fighting game.
Stop trying to divine the developer’s intention and making up your own rules. You have no idea what they think, and if they think it’s appropriate, they’ll fix it or release an official word. And they already tried addressing the problem. If it was clearly a matter that was so severe, they would have already introduced DR or shut it down. And if they haven’t, then you can’t blame the players for taking advantage of bad game design.

And indeed, I only care about what Arenanet says.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
