Guild Wars 2

I swear I tried Liadri more times then I can remember. I have tried with a mesmer, war, thief, ranger, guard but everytime I am pulled into her aoe and by the time i get up Im dead. I have gotten really close with about 5% of her hp left I got pulled into her aoe or she cripples me and Im all out of dodges. I really hate quiting at something I have gotten so far at. I just can not do it. It feels like there is that element of luck involved, if u get pulled into aoe or not, she cripples you etc. I honestly do not know what I am doing wrong. ArenaNet said thakittens a challange and you beat it by trying different builds and what not, however I do not know what class/build I need to use.

Anyone know what class/build I need to use to beat her? Ive watched a heap of youtube vids but they have all done it like 200 times b4 actually beating it.

do you talk about 8 orbs achievement or normal Liadri?

You can use any class. It has been done with all of them. Look it up on youtube.

My advice is go full on damage or condition damage, you don’t need survivability except maybe some vigor for more dodges or other dodge/endurance enchancing traits/skills.

It’s just trial & error. Rinse and repeat.

I wouldn’t do it on a ranger. I am extremely comfortable playing my ranger. I know the ins and outs of the class like the back of my hand. Defeating Liadri on my ranger took many attempts, and I found it to be extremely challenging and difficult.

Classes I have seen the most youtube videos of killing Liadri are:

1. Clone traited mesmers
2. Bomb/grenade engineers
3. Condition Necros

Not saying it’s easy mode with the above classes, but they do seem to have a slight advantage – they don’t have to be facing Liadri as they kill her. Just lay down your ‘nades/clones/wells and forget about them. They can run straight. They don’t have to strafe.

@OP: A phantasm build for your mesmer may make it a bit easier for you to beat Liadri. Summon your almighty phantasm and start running and never look back (talking about phase 2).
