I need two more achievements, and since I can’t seem to beat the final boss, it means I have a few options.

Probably going to have to be the gambits, but I’m having a bit of difficulty.

Available classes (80s): Elementalist, Mesmer, Warrior, Engineer.
Available Achievements left: Meatless Murder, Blobs, 2 Gambit -T3, 3Gambit, 5 Gambit, 2 Final boss.

Pretty sure I’m going to need to use deadeye or subject 7 in order to complete them. I come close on subject 7 with the mesmer and 3 gambits, but perhaps I’m taking the wrong ones.

If anyone has any tips/tricks to beating them with multi-gambits, let me know.

There are a couple Warrior videos floating around that show a strategy for Liadri that I feel like most people could execute. Pretty much getting her to P2 then obliterating her before the fight can go much further. If you have Berserker gear for your Warrior I’d consider checking the Warrior forum for it. Plus you’d get the cool mini.

I have to imagine a similar strategy works for the Subject-7 achievement, in that you’d go in, take it down a ways, then knockback and go for a burst kill before it can get out of control.

As for the multi-gambit stuff, I did 5 gambit on Deadeye, but that was on a condition-based Necromancer. If you could find a strategy that let you do 3 gambit on one of them you’d knock it out in one go since it would give you both the 2 & 3 gambit achievements. I may be wrong but I suspect Warrior is your best bet.

Edit: This is one of the videos I was thinking of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYAjo4ZZXLo

You can play it much safer in phase 1 than him since she’ll die so fast that the timer won’t matter.

Subject 7 should still be quite easy with 5 gambits (no earthquakes and no second fighter, just the first 5 gambits) with an engineer. It might not be profitable in terms of farming, but for the achievements no problem. 10/0/30/30/0 (I think), bomb kits, traits for lots of regen, healing bombs, etc. Lots of flexibility so experiment for yourself but you basically want to give yourself a lot of healing and as much extra damage as you can squeeze out for the time limit. I used elixir gun (only for the toolbelt heal, never used the gun itself) and flame turret (pop it at the start right on subject 7, it’ll do some damage but more importantly activate it for the area blind to keep the oozes at bay), and used the supply crate elite with traits for extra supplies (lots of heals that you only need to move a bit to get). You just stand on top of him and keep bombing him. As long as you’re careful and don’t waste too much time on non-damaging skills (no need for glue bomb, for example) you should finish in time and if you spec to have enough toughness or healing you can probably come through it without dipping below 40-50% health, as the flame turret and smoke bomb can both be used to blind the oozes quite nicely.

5 gambits vs Subject 7 on a Mesmer is pretty “easy”. I just used dulfy’s build/guide and only took 3 tries. If you can’t manage 5, you can do 3 easily with a Mesmer, then use her guide for the blob one on a Warrior.

http://dulfy.net/2013/08/06/gw2-queens-gauntlet-guide/ She even has videos.

(Sorry if you already checked her guides, it’s just the way I got the achievements :P)

Dead eye with mesmer can get you the gambits achieve.
Just chain your reflect skills (warden, feedback, other fields with correct traits) and interrupt the kill shot and you should be fine (prepare to die a lot if you’re not used to mesmer though).

Meatless murder can be done easily with the warrior.
Pick your rifle and keep the dog crippled with #2, #5 can knockback him and if needed bring a fear shout. Use elite signet for near constant swiftness and with maximized dps you should have the dog killed between the 3rd and 4th meat.

Thanks for all the tips so far. I’ll try them out tonight/tomorrow. I’ve come close a few times, and should hopefully now be able to pull it off with better tactics/practice.

Meatless Murder seems easy to me.
You just need to keep an eye on the guy throwing the meat and you only need to kill the dog to get the achiev.

If you wanted to try Liadri with a war without doing the ~10 sec kill (don’t know what gear he has). I was able to kill her with a LB and a high crit/adrenaline build, for some reason I kept having trouble with a riffle, but when I went back to my normal weapons it got a lot easier for me. (If you want the exact build, just ask)
