Are we going to actually get a real hot air balloon ride floating high above the map? or are these going to function like waypoints?

If they’re like hot air balloons, think The Grove seed pods.

While it would be fun to go on a balloon from orr to divinity, I dont think that’s gonna happen.

So basically get into the balloon, then cut scene, and then arrive at destination?

have to admit when I first heard of the airballoons I got a bit excited at the prospect of flying above the trees and soaking in the views. But the way these maps are designed it can’t happen.

Its a shame really, that is one thing I did enjoy about other MMO’s was the flying. But I realise it breaks the immersion when you just fly everywhere. I wouldn’t want flying mounts but a hot air balloon ride would be awesome.

I assume it will be find hot air balloon > watch cut scene > arrive in Divinities Reach.

Hopefully the cut scene won’t be the entire distance, that would get boring. I imagine just take-off, and maybe landing. Something about the length of the vistas.

A chance to see the whole flight (or skip it if you prefer) would actually be really cool.
