So Tab is the only way to cycle targets outside of a party without putting the mouse on the screen, yet when fighting Liadri it always targets Visions instead of her. This gave me a great idea seeing how this is intentional.

You should make Tab start targeting some of the level’s geometry & assets too, as well as NPCs. This would achieve your goal of making it hard to tab-target the correct thing. Maybe you can use this idea the next time the Gauntlet comes around.
Or maybe you can fix this mess like an actual game designing company.

So how about you forumites, how do you target Liadri when a party isn’t an option? Do you choose to spin the RNG Wheel-o-Luck with Tab, or do you manually sift your mouse through everything?

You can use targeting without party, just send invite to someone who is offline (not need to be accepted) and change T key to tab:-)

Well a party generally is an option, just ask map chat or your guild if you are in one. Since it doesn’t harm you or cost you anything to be in party someone will likely accept.
That said I wish could just call targets for yourself without a party.

I did not know you could that.

I think the point is that requiring players to be in a party to be able to target things efficiently in a solo event (that cannot be done by a party) is just bad game design.

Why can’t we use T / ctrl+T while playing solo, anyway? There’s no logical reason for that to be disabled.
