So I’ve been trying to beat this lass down for a while now, to no avail. And since most guides favor classes like mesmers or alike, what ‘s you people’s hints to defeat her, along with completing her achievement, as Engineer?

key traits that i used:
grenadier, backpack regen,speedy kit, invigorating speed

skills: medkit, elixir c, grendate kit, toolkit.

I don’t use healing turret, i just find it such a hassel to use.

use the 1500 range to kill the cosmic rifts
grenade behind you
and swap kits often to kit vigor and perma swiftness

So I just run around avoiding the circles while throwing grenades behind me?

I need more guidance, please. I know engineers aren’t the most profitable class to play for this, but it’s the only lvl 80 I got atm and I want this done before the season ends.

I’m not expert with engineers, but I can make sense from what Kingbread said. In this fight, you need to memorize the AOE patterns. Once you get the first phase right without issues, second phase will become your main focus. In the second phase all you need to do is just run in circle while dpsing the boss. The boss will slow you and weaken you, so condition removal skills are very important. You also need to keep in mind that, the area that once was targeted by AOE, next time it will be safe. Using PvP/WvW build:

• Full Rabid eq (all exotic / ascended)
• Traits 30/10/0/20/10
• Pistol + Shield
• Healing Turret, Bombs, Flamethrower, Tool Kit
• New runes of perplexity

Strategy:
Magnet pull to speed up phase 1. Shield block + toolkit block when in pinch. Perma vigor + swiftness. Lots of interrupts on her to stack-up confusion, burn on criticial helps. Basically condition damage eats her up while you kite.

If you have problems with “aoe” in second phase, when you see one fall you should be near it and as soon as it disappears continue running to the next one. This way you don’t even have to watch for those hard to see reddish circles on the ground, you can look up and see where the next one falls. Position yourself about halfway from the center to the edge of the dome or somewhat closer to the edge.

Basically, keep your running rhythm and you won’t have to dodge much, and don’t forget to spam bombs/grenades. Check out “liadri slayer club” thread for more tips…
