I’ve tried bursting chomper down before strugar starts throwing meat, I’ve tried crippling/stunning/chilling chomper.

He always gets at least one meat before he dies.

I’ve used more tickets trying to get this achievement than on liadri and the 5 gambits combined.

I just went in with full zerk gear, didn’t even stun Chomper at all but just used swiftness and teleports to get to meat before him. If you and Chomper arrive at meat and try to consume it at the same time, the player will win.

3 or 4 meat should give you enough of a damage buff to kill him before he can get any more. I killed him before the fourth meat spawned.

Rangers don’t have teleports.

I have noticed a slight trick with this fight, though I did it on my ranger with a 30/25/15/0/0 build.

If you can kill both bosses, even if Chomper gets meat, you can use the meat buffs the next fight for free extra damage.

So, assume you get three stacks of meat, and then Chomper eats one and dies, then you burn down Strugar in time; start the fight back up and you should still have some time left on those stacks.

Last bit of advice: Use stability if you plan to eat a 4th piece of meat, or more. It will stop the stun; and I believe it cancels out any debuffs eating more stacks will give for it as well.

Keep trying, you will get it.

Don’t worry about damage at the beginning because you don’t do much anyway. Save your DPS and just be ready to use CC as soon as meat is thrown. Do this for 2-3 meats, and then you should have enough damage to kill Chomper. Try not to have to eat 4 meats because the 4th one will stun you.

Do rangers have a cripple?

It’s best to slow down Chomper as much as possible and to run to the food as soon as the other guy throws it.

I managed it on my greatsword mesmer with zerker gear. Didn’t use any swiftness or cripple, I just dodge-rolled to the meat and used my number 5 knockback ability on Chomper if I could. Once you get the hang of the fight itself it’s only a case of luck after that where he throws the meat.
