During the story instance inside the royal pavilion you have a fight between Logan Thackeray and one of the Watchwork Knights. A hologram is cast on it to make it look like Rytlock Brimstone. Shortly you notice that something is wrong with the Watchwork Knight. It goes out of control and then suddenly an Aetherblade airship enters the pavilion through what appears to be a steam portal. It’s very similar to the one that the steam creatures use.

A bunch of Aetherblade pirates attack everyone on the scene. Jennah finally shows us her sword but you don’t really get to see her fight. There’s also this mysterious figure that seems to be behind the attack and possibly the malfunction of the Watchwork Knight. Rox and Braham are there to hunt her down while she’s constantly taunting them; she’s invulnerable. Near the end you get to see her up close. She appears to be a Sylvari wearing a red cloak. It’s quite possible that she could be Scarlet but it could be someone else. She also has this little melody that plays right before she disappears. That could be her theme song.

I’m not a musical expert but it was reminiscent of the Millenium Earl’s theme song from D Gray Man. It sounded a little Victorian. I think it adds a nice touch to this mysterious character.

Her ability to vanish instantly like what she does at the end might hint at her being a mesmer. I doubt that we were actually seeing her physical body since she was invulnerable. Was this mysterious figure Scarlet or was it just another of Scarlet’s minions? Then there’s the bigger question. Is Scarlet actually in charge of the Aetherblades or is there someone higher up in the food chain?

It’s kind of redundant to post spoilers in the title when you just put a spoiler in it. You should have said “Mysterious Figure appearance?”, instead of using Scarlet.

You’re right about that. Although I did post a lot more details that would be considered spoilers.

It was Countess Anise that projected the image of Rytlock and at the end of the story piece, Logan was super suspicious of her. It had me thinking if the Sylvari woman was real or if it was just another projected image. It wouldn’t be too difficult for a skilled Mesmer.
