Guild Wars 2

I’m having extreme difficulty just starting the fight with the fire obsessed guy in tier 2.

I’ve seen guide videos where they are able to essentially kite around him, but I can’t seem to survive the first 10 seconds.

As soon as it puts down the fire circle of death, I seem to get bum rushed instantly by the cone fire attack and down I go.

Any tips for getting past the start of this event? Been doing this on a mesmer currently.

Go left, right, left, right… to avoid the fire cone he shoots at you.
Use a ranged weapon because if you’re too close you can’t avoid fast enough.

When he casts the ring of fire, stay within it and do not cross it or you will almost certainly die.

Then to avoid his fire projectile just side-step left and right. Should be enough not to get hit by them considering they travel about as fast as a slug with a limp.

As soon as you get into the bubble, run straight to the middle. He summons the circle with you in the middle. It is MUCH easier when he is also in the middle of the circle rather than outside of it for several reasons including you get a better view without the dome giving you weird camera angles.

I saw those videos too, and this “go left go right go left” business… just run to the middle, then you can just circle around him like normal.
