Hi, I believe that the recipes for the new sigils and runes should not be account bound. People will not be able to acquire them after the Crown Pavilion is closed, and anyone who bought extras has wasted their money. All limited release recipes in the past have been tradable, so why not these?

Thank you.

This trend started with the Dragon’s Revelry Starcake recipe in Dragon Bakitten seems that ANet is trying to give crafters some “exclusivity” by making festival recipes account-bound. It’s not a move I agree with, however; I’d also prefer it if recipes could be sold on the TP.

There have been other recipes in previous events that were account-bound as well. The Halloween food / tonic recipes (the ones you had to buy from the vendor) were, IIRC.

It seems kind of all over the place whether recipes are account-bound or not during events. Some are, some aren’t. The only correlation seems to be that the ones you can buy are account-bound, and the ones you can only get from drops are tradable (Revelry Starcake being the exception, probably due to the fact that it was Gem Store exclusive).

We don’t really know for sure if the recipes are going to be removed after the event or not anyway, though. One of the devs said at one point that “clockwork stuff will be permanent” and though vague, that could mean the weapon skins as well as the recipes will remain purchasable permanently.
