Okay so in timberline falls i was getting one balloon then i went to the next one and there i was about to open the chest, someone opened it before me and i ended up porting to DR instead of opening the chest. Now i go back and the chest is still opened and that tower didnt count towards myachievement. This is now one more tower(other is queensdale) that i cant get now!! please fix this bug..
I was able to complete and get credit for the tower near Krytan Freehold, but I didn’t get credit for the one near Alter Brook even though I was awarded the event completion, I got to the tower after the main group and the chest was already opened.
I’m having the same problem. Went to 4 balloons, and only got achievement for 3. Just to check, I went to the four balloons again, and the chest was opened in all 4, but I still only have 3 in the achievement.
¬_¬ . You have all areas in world to chase baloons. If you lose one due to you acidentally travelled instead of get chest, you only need to do other, and bask to that tower when the event is active again. The chest and the achiev meta respawn in daily.

False. I opened a chest yesterday. Went back today to check : still open.

Yeah, while I’m down on the ground (on a different character), I can target the chest, which means I should be able to loot it, but once I hit that last set of stairs, it changes to being already opened. I really hope we don’t have to go to each different zone to get the 30. Is there even 15 zones, excluding the 3 Orr and Southsun (since they said balloons aren’t in those maps)?
Are the balloons supposed to reset? I opened them within the first few hours of patch release, then tried them after daily reset, and they were still opened.

It isn’t a matter of accidentally traveling. The chests are displaying as being accessed when they haven’t been. I had the same thing happen in Queensdale. I accidentally traveled because I thought I was opening a chest only to realize the chest was inaccessible so the only thing to interact with was the stupid balloon.
Yes, that is true there are more balloons than are needed. That’s not the point though. The point is that there is a bug that is causing some chests not to function properly. Bugs need to be fixed regardless of the effect they have outside themselves.

There are more than enough zones to support all the balloons we need, as long as you’re prepared to go into 40+ zones to get them all.
