Pedition: Make the Gauntelt permanent!

Remove the bubble, move it somewhere private, fix bugs, and you got yourself a deal.
I agree with this. I actually think they should make a proper looking arena like they have but actually have the floor in instead of having it drop down to the pavilion thing.
If you could challenge them in an actual arena and have other players come and sit in the “stadium” like seating to watch I think it would be epic… It would definitely fix the visibility issues and give more room to run around.
The domes were a nice idea but they add more issues to the very elite challenges. They built an arena, hopefully they can use it. Maybe PvE arena boards would be cool too to show what players actually beat Liadri.
Well it would be nice to have the Pavillion still in use for something after this part of the LS, and the Zergs would be gone by then.
It would be nice to have as a rotation base. Although for people who have it completed it really does become obsolete.
Would also be nice if they could offer challenge without having to rely almost solely on one-shot kills. Kind of hard to get better at something when there’s no skill involved, just reflex timing.

I’d like to compare it to Mario. You could fall down, and be completely annihilated.
Same goes here. There’s plenty of ways to deal with it, so that’s not my biggest concern.
What I would like to see is more pressure fights that last longer and can tip over in your favor (or turn into a complete failure). Cause there’s not too many of them yet
Well One shot mechanics rely on reflex timing, yes, which is also a part of Skill and training, so you need to train to succeed in an encounter, and thats a good thing.
It would be cool if they expanded it for duo fights as well.

Sorry, but it’s not a good thing. It is one of the most critiqued and hated things in games (second to escort quests). It is a mark of lazy design to make something that is better suited to an AI than a real life player. It also encourages people to bot and exploit as most are going to consider it far too aggravating to be worthwhile otherwise.

Sounds like a great plan to me.
Thats your opinion. In my opinion it’s a good thing because it punishes players for not paying attention and reacting in time. Of course you can overuse those mechanics, but in the case of the gauntlet, where I successfully defeated every Enemy, it’s used good and with enough time to react. The Gauntlet is not made for casuals, and the mechanics are just right to prevent casuals from doing it easily.
It’s more than merely opinion, feel free to note the references of the article:

To be honest, it almost sounds as if you’re stating that: ‘because [you] can do it, it’s fine’ completely disregarding anyone and everyone else. Also kind of callous to disregard what is often the largest percentage of a game’s customers, the casuals. My apologies if that’s not what you meant in your response.
I can, to very limited degree, agree that there is a good way to use instant death mechanics, but in a game whose gameplay revolves around content and challenges that do not instantly deprive players a fighting chance wouldn’t be such.
