Will we be able to use event finisher, like the Gift Finisher we had at Wintersday, as a permanent finisher ?

I suppose, as long as you still have one.

It would not be fair that those who may have not used any to get them as permanent ones as opposed to those who enjoyed them so much that they ended up using them all.

So, unless they plan on re-releasing permanent versions eventually in the future, or have a way to check who ever used one, they should simply unlock them for anyone that gets monthly PvP achievement this month or just for anyone. If they are even going to get permanent versions, that is.

Don’t see why not if that’s how it works. Didn’t see them hand out Super Adventure Box skins/Halloween skins when they changed the way skins worked (able to be used in PvP)

Hopefully they update them so the Finishers are now tradable. I still have my Wintersday finishers in my bank from last year!

i have a few from wintersday (or maybe i don’t :///) and the super ones.

so how do these work exactly? if we still have some, then we can “unlock” them? or perhaps i missed where more info was given about the permanent finishers.

definitely one of the most exciting things for me this patch i can forese we’ll be seeing a lot more finishers everywhere

Btw I don’t know why do you think they will turn every single finisher you already have as a temporary one to a permanent one.

I’m 100% sure they won’t change items that are already in your inventory.

Unable to investigate at work, but didn’t the update mention choosing any finisher you currently have to be used as a permanent finisher? If so, i’m gonna to be dropping snowmen on fools 365!

“We’re adding support for permanent Finishers! With this release, you’ll be able to sort through your available Finishers and choose the one you’d like to use as a default. Change your mind and change your Finisher! "

Looks like the people that like to hang on to one of each for special occasions or just to collect them are in luck. I wonder if the finisher is consumed after you choose it, making it impossible to pick again if you only had one, or if the finisher is “learned” so you only have to have one to ever switch to it.

I really like this addition. Makes me wish you could Finish champs in PvE

I take this as: if you are rank 30, you can purchase a permanent rabbit, deer, dolyak or wolf finisher from glory (available finishers), while the rest (like the thorn and tombstone) are for any rank from the gemstore.

Or we get a menu for finishers, they remove all temporary rank finishers and make them an unlocked option to set it whenever we want it.

The best thing would be treating them like the harvesting tools: Consumable versions and infinite versions.

I think where it said “sort through your available finishers and choose the one you’d like to use”. They were talking about the pvp rank finishers not the temporary/special event finishers. Personally i hope you can make future special event finishers in to permanent finsihers would make wvw that much more fun. SAB finishers all over!!!
