Queens Gauntlet is the most fun
I agree, I have not done the complete gauntlet, but I agree that this is al done very good. There are some things left to improve, The NPC should rez players I think and sometimes the lag influences the gauntlet game above.
For the event outside the gauntlet, the champions spawn in the open world, could you let them be somewhat near the baloon? For instance in some places I can run as hard as i can but people camping the champ already got him killed before I get there :/
The gauntlet is a poorly tested terrible mess of cheap gimmicks with the only purpose of being a giant gold sink. That’s all. And that’s also the reason why they were so quick on “fixing” subject 7, but the camera is still terrible and the orbs still bugged.
Hoping that an orb won’t respawn on the other side of the room cause you can’t hit it with your ranged weapon isn’t skill, it is just luck. And you have to rely on it.
It is just frustrating. I will be relieved when i’ll have finished it only because i won’t ever, ever have to do it anymore. There is no fun here.

There is lots of fun to be found, but it’s hard to find it when you see red.
I used to be a power ranger, now not sure anymore
If they fixed the camera ( Or put it in an instanced arena without the terrible camera destroying walls) I’d find it a bit more enjoyable.
Hopefully Arena Net doesn’t decide to cater to whiners.
Is asking Anet to fix the poor camera angles whining?
I agree.
I love the Gauntlet and I think it’s exactly what a lot of players have been asking for – challenging PvE content that is hard because it requires learning and using specific mechanics rather than because the bosses have a huge number of hit points.
I was feeling pretty annoyed with it last night when I was still stuck on Salzan, but then it felt amazing when I finally figured out a stratergy and got it to work. Then by comparison I breezed past the pirates and I’m currently feeling pretty confident that after a bit of practice I’ll be able to beat Subject 7 tonight as well.
The only issue I have is that it rewards an account bound mini. I could be wrong but I suspect there is very little cross-over between people who want this sort of content and people who collect minis so it seems like a very odd reward.
If the mini wasn’t account bound that would be one thing, because then people who don’t want it could sell it. But as it is I predict a lot of mini Liadris spending eternity buried at the bottom of the Collectables tab.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I love the gauntlet too.
I having a great time fighting, watching others fight ( and some are amazing).
Getting some tips, seeing people encourage each other and just the general feeling of camaraderie that I have never experienced anywhere in the game.
Even when you rage because you got your kitten handed to you once again- it is great because you know you are not alone and there is someone there to res you and tell you that you can do it.

You don’t need to rely on luck.
When a Cosmic Rift spawns too far from you, you can time your Dodge and simply Evade its pull. Stability also works! Good luck!
Just want to chime in to +1 this post.
Anet, PLEASE provide more content like Liadri + gambits. I don’t even care if you remove the achievements and rewards attached to it so people won’t complain about not being able to do it. The sense of accomplishment for completing truly difficult content is reward enough.
This game has really needed some challenging pve content, and this has been quite enjoyable for me to play. Fights where I have to custom tailor a build, work out mechanics, and practice the execution to win are exactly what I want.
The only two things I would change would be to rez after dying in the arena (pointless and costly inconvenience if no one is around), and to get rid of the ticket cost for gambits (too costly for me as a mostly pvper to attempt Liadri with multiple gambits).
