Not sure if this is the correct place for this but….

The NPC in the event “Savage Brute” is named “Bloodlust Masticus.”

I have had the name Masticus since GW1 and I am just curious how you guys came to use it?

I have gotten made fun of by other players in the game saying I “Stole the name” and that my guild name “Is unoriginal”

This is kind of hard to be since the guild “House of Masticus” exists in GW1 and in GW2 and myself and my 2 sons have had “Masticus” named toons on all 3 of our account since GW1.

Any advice or help or explaination in this matter would be great. Please keep in mind I think its cool you guys used my toons Sir Name.

I just assumed that it was a reference to “masticate” (That being, to chew or grind food) seeing as how he’s a big….dog?…creature thing.

I’ve seen other variations used in games/settings before, usually in reference to the same concept.

yeah and the same reason I used the name back in GW1, just wondered, thanks for the reply.

Masticus, also called simply “mastic” is the resin of the mastic tree.
