Strugar & Chomper as Engineer: Need Help!
Anybody, surely?
Heya, I can’t give you any pro-tips, but maybe try with some flamethrower build. Blind and interrupt from it are pretty useful. Deny meat and when you see he is somewhat closer to it than you just push him away with skill “3” – air blast, and if Strugar is on your back, smoke vent helps. I’ve changed builds while doing gauntlet so many times that I can’t give you any more specifics, sorry. Elixir B is also very useful, it’s on my skill bar always.
Thank you. Anybody else who can provide a good way to kill him before I get killed first? :P
I am not proficient at my engineer, so can’t help you there. Suggest you search YouTube for some specifics there. The key to the battle I found was getting 3 stacks of food for myself. At that point, any condition damage that is procing on the mobs scales up to a few hundred a tic per stack and direct damage becomes huge. They both melt. Of couse like you said you have to stay alive, but if you are kiting while you are waiting for the boss to throw the food, you will not take much damage. Keep the dog crowd controlled and/or be ready to do so when you see the master about to throw the food.
Moving, kiting, avoiding damage, healing etc. and using the correct skills at the correct time, all the while keeping my eyes on the screen to see the move when he throws the meat was really hard for me lol. Proficient hot key use is really helpful. Using the mouse to click the skills on the screen, and taking the eyes off of the screen to do that, would cause me to miss the meat throws.
I posted my build for meatless murder on another thread, but when I finally realized this is the best way to deny the pup his meat, I got the achievement on the first try:

Essentially it is a condition duration heavy build with freeze grenades. You basically just go 30 in explosives for Grenadier, and then swiftness on kit swap and vigor on swiftness. The other 20 points are up to you.
Chill sigil on one weapon, and chilled duration on the other, I clocked in with freeze duration around 14 seconds with freeze grenade. Basically, they stayed chilled for the entire duration of the fight.
I use rocket boots as well, mostly because I love them, but they helped quite a bit.
