Seems like not working! she’s a cheater! btw. there was a well in that place where I was lying. You’re wrong about her beam because “Shelter” have the same description like aegis which means this game have no logic at all.

All you have to do is make her walk through the black well to take her shield down so you can damage her and stand in the black wells when she casts her bright light attack. She’s not OP, she’s not cheating.

Pay attention to her arm movements. It’ll tell you when she’s about to cast her surekill spell. Just don’t wait too long before dodging because it’s instant as soon as she finishes her animation. Also, it’s unblockable, so you have to use evasion/invulnerable skills.

I’m pretty sure she hits through dodge. I tried it a few times, but it always downed me regardless. Just use the floor portals, much easier and safer.

It’s not you who should stand in black circle. It is her who should stands in black circle.

Strategy: She is ranged, but her range is small. She always walks to you. So stand behind black circle for a while, when she in the black circle, melee her for 2 – 3 s. After that lead her to another circle. This will make her shield never up. In addition this will deny her to use her big boom attack. (you should have range and melee weapon for this).

The 2 minute time limit says otherwise. You don’t kill the bosses in time. You go splat on the floor below.

Exactly. And with one hit kill attacks, going for defense is a waste of time against them. You have to kill them as fast as you can.

Ah, so it wasn’t just my timing then. I had no idea the black spots could protect you from her surekill. They do significant damage to me, so I never thought to try.

Still, her arm gestures are at least an indicator for when to go for your invulnerable skills or a stun if she doesn’t have her shield up.

I spent about 7 tickets on this battle the other night before finally beating it (though I was downed at the time and finished her with my downed attack).

It’s a bad fight in many ways.

1. When first encountering the fight, it does not give sufficient time to learn what to do. You`ll waste several tickets just trying to puzzle out what is going on.

2. You`ll soon work out that the darkness pools are important and will likely try to use them as a field, by firing attacks through them to break the shield. More deaths result.

3. Even when using the fields properly, the protection buff they give is far too small and seems to detect poorly when you are in the field at all. You can do everything right and still get vaporised, because the defence is far more unreliable than the attack.

4. It is very hard to see when she is going to use the nuke. It needs a sound clue, not an “I wave my tiny arms that are obscured by particles” clue.

5. Standing in the darkness clouds, combined with being pounded by constant damage, means light classes struggle more at this than they should.

This. I was dodging to these circles and it got bugged and I died, I lost about 20 kittening tickets and 30s for repair because of this bug and that kitten.
Now I’m stuck at pirates and I’m using rare mf gear and this kittening time limit drives me crazy because I can solo them as I want but I need stupid exo zerg gear to kill them on time because I have always one pirate left with half hp.
They should do this mini-game as a pvp so ppl won’t be wasting gold to beat one stupid boss.

strange i have not needed to go as much zerker as the op is in hes screenshot(14k hp is almost base hp for guardian as its only 10,8k and thats without any trait or stat bonuses and hes health is possible to get at 387 vitalety in total its very zerky) given that im at last boss and in no point have i been under 17k hp and 2,5k armor and most of the time i where around 19-20k hp with 2,8k -3k armor and did most with that so its defendly possible without going full zerker

I’ve noticed that a lot of the bosses play by different rules and it’s very annoying indeed. In the future could content please be designed in a way that makes sense? And if a certain ability is going to be exempt for the normal rules of the game then please notify the player of that.

Anet should change the gauntlet so it’s in an instance (cough cough) that way people with super low FPS (like me) actually have a chance to beat the gauntlet. I cam CLOSE one time, but that was because all I did was stand in the pools (sucks cause I’m an ele) then I was downed and her shield came back up.
