Will it work like mesmer’s portal? It will be great if all players can port others to jumping puzzles. I only hope it isn’t too expensive or rare to get (both recipe and components) as Mesmers only need a utility skill, but it’s a great direction to make all players able to do everything (the portal was the biggest difference maker a profession had that no one else could use).

The key word is “personal”, so probably not.

It’s probably an Asura gate type item that you set to a city to transport to when you want, similar to WoW’s Hearthstone if you are familiar.

I hope so, and I hope it’s free. I spend more money using waypoints to get back to major cities than anything else in this game (slightly exaggerating.

Knowing ANet it willbe absurdly difficult to get on a ridiculous cooldown :p

Portal to home instance may make the most sense, and offer a way to beging this bracnhcing out of LA

I’m hoping it functions similar to the mesmer portal. Dependency on mesmers for transport is a problem the devs are aware of, and this could be a great fix.

The first time you use the item, it would leave a marker anywhere in the world. On second use you can either place a new marker or teleport to the previously marked spot any time you want.

Why would they make a portal to LA when you have a free portal by going to the heart of the mists. I hope it’s account bound because I dont want to get one for every character.

You will be ported to any chosen portal destination once per day per character ;D

I’d love a free portal to the Accountancy Waypoint. It’s way better than Trader’s Forum but usually twice as expensive.

that would make sense, i vote for this option. The devs are trying to get us to use the home instances more anyways so a free (after initial investment) portal to it would be a good incentive to visit more often.

edit: it appears a dev posted its true nature on another thread making my assumption invalid. oh well was a nice pipe dream while it lasted.
