First of all I know there are already some topics like this one, but I really gotta do my part and share the frustration, of course this achievement is hard, and of course a low % of players already did it, and I’m not saying to A-net “NERF” it, but why… why can’t you make it PLAYABLE? Let me list some stuff:
.You have to deal with deadly multifactors in battle, which some details will be more than enough to kill you
.You have a time limit, 2 min I guess
.You have to throw EIGHT orbs within this low time limit, and kill her after doing so
.Shadows fall do have a pattern, but that won’t matter much in phase 2 since its half the screen, and you got so much stuff going on you’ll basically not seeing it right
.Throwing 3 orbs in phase 1 is really ok, and yet sometimes I die because I do try to do it fast because of what? the TIME limit of course, but in phase 2 it becomes a pain in the kitten
.That rift, oh my god that RIFT, its BUGGED to any ranged atk (that’s not aoe) and you have like 2 seconds to react to it, and yes it RANDOM spawns in the arena, and even if it’s not random, chances are you’ll not be close to melee it when it spawns
Now to the MOST not awesome FRUSTRATING stuff in this battle that I actually can’t believe it, far worst than the previous ones…
.Whenever you make an orb appear, you have like maximum of 8 seconds to trow it at Liadri! I mean, really? less than 10 seconds so it doesnt disappear!?! In phase 2 its = HELL
also not mentioning when you’re auto attacking Liadri and your F doesn’t work properly so you have to press it like 3 times to get the orb!
.C A M E R A, whose idea was to make this BUBBLE ARENA? You guys tested it? Were you satisfied with the camera? Because I doubt that any single player with a BRAIN would think this camera is good, or at least “ok”, when I’m in center screen its already bad, when I’m near the edges I’d better close my eyes or be blind because its the same thing.
.Not instanced… yeah thanks for an arena that not only it’s not instanced but it’s in an OVERFLOW LAGGED TO DEATH map! I never managed to get it without overflow and even if I did so, it would look the same, because there are 900 players inside and 900 monsters below me, my pc is not great I assume that, but it plays without lag, in medium graphics in 95% of gw2 normal maps, now that pavilion, if I do wanna have a chance with Liadri, i have to set my graphics to zero and 1024×768 resolution and STILL I do lag, because it’s not instanced and with alot of players + monsters + events going on below me.
Sorry if I did sound exagerated in some stuff, but it’s exactly how I feel about fighting Liadri and trying to do the Light up the Darkness achievement, I already studied her, watched alot of videos, tried alot of builds, foods, etc, and the best I could make in hundreds of tryings was 5 orbs, almost to 6, and also got kicked by time limit in one of these tryings, now because of the time limit I do try to rush every time i go in it, and more mistakes happen… it’s a nightmare. :/
