Someone will sabotage the jubilee and Logan gets the blame. We have to find the traitor and clear Logan’s name while Codecus accuses the Queen for endangering people’s life and he will “vote against the queen”
Codecus daughter, who joined the whisperers will give us some information about her father. Marjory come’s into the scene too, asked by Logan.
Lady Kashmeer will be found guilty…

To go along with this “What Terrible Thing Will Happen at this Months Festival”, Id also like to add which 2 completely unrelated societies will join together to form the next alliance.

If there is 1 constant, its that Anet sure loves it festivals and loves its alliances.

Separatists and Centaurs, the “Hoofbumpers”
Called it.

No, no. The Separatists and the Renegades will join together in their mutual hatred of Jennah to try assassinating her, and work toward nullifying the Human/Charr alliance. All the while completely oblivious to the irony of their situation.
The new gear we get will just be Pact equipment, but without the glowy blue lines because Asura weren’t involved.

One of the screenshots looks like a destroyer-themed lava area, and with the huge hole in the ground under the new arena, I’m hoping the destroyers make an appearance.

Maybe we’ll see Marjory, Kasmeer, Braham, and Rox team up to help us defend the jubilee.

Braham’s ex-gf seems really shady, too, so I kinda expect to see her as a villain at some point.

The Asura will outrage; the Sylvari don’t eat meat, so they wont’ be bothered; the humans will rejoice and the Charr will order third helpings.

Sylvari do sleep, and they can eat both meat and vegetables. They drink, as other races do, and they get tipsy on alcoholic beverages. They gain enjoyment from sitting in the sunlight—and it invigorates them—but can’t live on it as plants do. Their blood is a sticky sap, and though they can bleed, they do not have blood pressure or a pulse.

It’s not because they don’t eat meat that they won’t be bothered, sylvari are always open to new experiences, it’s just that asura taste is kinda bland… roasted charr, on the other hand..

I predict that the Aetherblades will attack the party and try to kidnap the Queen.

They’ll show up, their ships appearing in the skies over Divinity’s Reach. The captain of one of the ships will appear before Jenna and demand her surrender. I expect the conversation will go something like this:

Captain: “Congratulations, your Majesty. However, you seem to have forgotten to invite us to your party. So, if you don’t mind, you’ll be joining us instead.”

Jenna: “How DARE you!”

Captain: “Oh now, don’t be like that, your Highness. I’m sure you’ll be returned to your little party soon enough, once the people of this fair city give us what we want.”

Jenna: “Miserable cretins! You’ve knocked over the table with the food, broken the glass roof over my new stadium, and worst of all, you’re thirty minutes late!”

Captain: “Typical. We’re here to kidnap you, and all you care about is… wait…. what? Late?”

Jenna: “Well, yes. I expected you lot to show up half an hour ago, and I’m paying charr cannon crews by the hour.”

Logan makes a signal, and false fronts fall away from several buildings on the walls of Divinity’s Reach, revealing charr with turrets ready to blast the Aetherblade ships out of the sky

Captain: “Ummm… hell.”

At that point, the new mini-game is revealed to be a shooting game to see how many Aetherblades you can gun down with a spare turret.

SPOILERS WITHIN Kralkatorric...didn't show up in ebonhawke, his minions were atacking. What Queen Jenna did was to project Kralkaorrik image in the sky, paralize all the defenders and project crystals over them, so it looked like Kralkatorrik had attacked and encased them all in crystals. It worked since the minions, thinking his masted had won already, left ebonhawke. Not sure if plot hole, though, but at that time Jenna had never seen Kralkatorrik, so she couldn't have known how he looked like to project his image... though you could argue she could read the attackets minds, since she did send a mental cry for help to Logan

That would be awesome. Also, as for my prediction: Queen Jennah will not die, but MOST OF THE MINISTRY will. Fingers will be pointed at Jennah as the culprit and she will be stripped of power for the duration of her “trial”.
Players will have to find out who really did it, no Kiel hogging credit, she’ll either be busy with Council work, or discredited after losing the election (ever notice how losing an election always seems to be a career ender for some reason?).

Completing the tasks to prove Jennah innocent and find the real culprit will earn you the rank “honorary minister” or possibly just getting made minister regardless since there’s now A LOT of empty seats open. No, it doesn’t matter if you’re charr, norn, sylvari, or asura, you can be a minister too.

The final part of the event dungeon will involve the party being called to a Ministry Assembly to help make some new decisions about how to help Divinity’s Reach. Or subtly try to drive it into the ground. Or just pick something completely ridiculous and become Minister Caligula.

Just as Queen Jennah is about to cut the cake, a mysterious, well-dressed Asuran arrives…

Mysterious Asuran: Mr. Thackeray!

Logan Thackeray: Huh?!?

Mysterious Asuran: Is your name Logan Thackeray?

Logan pauses for a moment, contemplating the situation before answering

Logan Thackeray: Yeah.

Mysterious Asuran: I’ve got somethin’ for you…..

Mysterious Asuran reaches into his Plush Quaggan Backpack

Mysterious Asuran: …a letter!

Logan Thackeray: A letter for me?!? That’s impossible! Who the kitten are you?

Mysterious Asuran: Maguuma Union. Actually, a bunch of us at the laboratory were hoping, maybe, you could shed some light on the subject.

See, we’ve had that envelope in our possession for the last seventy years. It was given to us with the explicit instructions that it be delivered to a young man, with your description, answering to the name of Logan “Legs” Thackeray, at this exact location, at this exact minute, Season of Scion, day 253, 1326AE. We’ve had a little bet going as to whether this ‘Logan’ would actually be here. Looks like I lost.

Mysterious Asuran laughs

Logan Thackeray: Did you say seventy years?

Mysterious Asuran: Yeah, seventy years, 2 months, uh, 12 days to be exact. Here sign on line six, please. Here ya are.

Mysterious Asuran hands Logan a clipboard and quill

Logan signs the paper and nods at the Mysterious Asuran before opening the letter

Logan Thackeray: It’s from Snaff!!!

Logan begins reading the letter

Dear Logan,

If my calculations are correct, you will receive this letter immediately after you saw the Asura gate struck by Kralkatorrik’s lightning.

First, let me assure you that I am alive and well. I’ve been living happily, these past eight months, in the Season of the Zephyr, year 1256AE. Kralkatorrik’s lightning bolt…

Logan becomes excited as he interrupts himself

Logan Thackeray: 1256! Season of the Zephyr, 1256!

Mysterious Asuran: Wait, kid! Wait a minute! What’s this all about?

Logan Thackeray: He’s alive! Snaff’s alive! He’s in old Elona but he’s alive!

Mysterious Asuran: Yeah but kid, are you alright? Do you need any help?

Logan Thackeray: There’s only one Asuran that can help me!

A month-long storm (watch the skies, remember?) of cataclysmic proportions will befall Tyria and deluge the world. All DEs will be wiped, everyone will be turned to QUAGGANS, all class/trait/build/race choices won’t matter, all PvE and WvW zones and dungeons will be submerged and turned into quaggan swimming race circuits, which will replace all combat skills with clunky quaggan jumping tricks, PERMANENTLY! (Because they were listening to our feedback). But don’t worry, jumping puzzles will be spared.

Also brand new permanent content:

- Eat 150 Tuna weekly achievement
- Perform 150 backflips weekly achievement
- Perform 150 ball tricks weekly achievement
- For every “achievement” reward received you’ll also quickly see Smiling Colin’s picture on the lower right corner and hear his high-pitched voice say “Well done, Flipper!” (a la Mortal Kombat)

I can hear aunt martha squealing in joy at the news

Forget Jennah’s death as the break down for human/charr peace treaty. Rox is sent on a mission for justice in honour of Chauncey. Together they both scheme to sabotage the Queen’s Jubilee in ant act of revenge.

The winner was a plant from Beetletun so it’s clear the Jennah and Caudecus are working together, conspiring against fancy cats because they remind them too much of the charr (fancy cats just can’t cut a break, poor Evon).

I don’t want the Queen to die, at all. Nothing that happened in the lore prior to GW2 was her fault and I don’t see any reason to blame Queen Jennah, and only Queen Jennah for that fiasco, and had she died it would of been disaster for all races. In fact, she has done a great deal to protect, preserve and drive man-kind and even the Charr’s continued prosperity which has been a massive benefit to the entire world. Without her, the Orders would not be able to function as effectively as they currently do, either and therefor the Pact may very well have never been possible between both issues.

That being said, I really like her as a character, I want to know a lot more about her and I would be really, really angry if they killed her off. The Ministry, on the other hand…I would probably not mind so much..That would be both intriguing and tragic at the same time without having to destroy our (humans) Queen. Seriously, that would be a dumb thing for anet to do.

It probably has to do with how uninspired and cliché characters like Jennah (and Salma before her) are written. They are like fanfiction Disney Princesses. The “Good Queen” who is a super hot babe that is fair and just, seemingly has no flaws and conveniently was one of the main forces that finally brought charr and humans together. Some people like a character with flaws and are disinterested or annoyed by ones that don’t seem to have them. Juxtapose the way Kiel and Evon are portrayed in Candidate trials, it’s like white and black (I’ll assume in good faith that their skin and fur colours are coincidences). A lot of us want a little grey in our world, not just black and white.

This is why I would have liked if the theory about (Edge of Destiny spoilers) her controlling Logan with some kind of mesmer spell was true. It wouldn’t have necessarily meant she was “evil” but would have giving her a bit more of a rough edge and character depth, not to mention make Logan seem like less of an incompetent moron.

Still, I don’t think they’d kill her off. It would make for an interesting plot development, as it would leave the humans in a very vulnerable position, but it would put that whole Logan/Jennah plot to waste. I’m pretty sure we’ll see some kind of interruption to the event though, most likely involving those clockwork knights going haywire.

If anything is gonna be bad happening to Queen Jenna, it would probably be an assassination attempt by a Bandits/Separatists alliance that will fail (since the game demands Queen Jenna to be alive) and another Living Story will involve you thwarting this new evil Bandit/Separatist alliance who ended up having a human supremacist viewpoint and xenophobic to every non-human race.

If anyone had done the human storyline about his/her lost parents, the Shining Blade reveals that the Bandits are backed (or actually are) White Mantle operatives and the White Mantle are operating under the shadows. Also, note that in Guild Wars 1, the White Mantle did fought the Charr to defend their homeland, so the White Mantle might seek an alliance with the Separatists to achieve two similar goals (bring down the Krytan human government and genocide against non-humans). They would probably start massacring Quaggans since the Quaggans’ technical pacifism is an easy target and blame for the human troubles

Yeah, this is the biggest problem I have with the Guild Wars lore, it doesn’t cover the “moral shades of grey” extensively as well as many other video games and it’s all good vs. evil “black and white” morality. Heck, even League of Legends and World of Warcraft covers “grey morality” way better than this game.

I think Queen Jennah will announce holy war against centaur. After that we will be sent into a campain against this foul beasts and as the result of this, centaurs will be completely removed from Queensdale and Kessex hills. In first stage all dynamic events will change from “being attacked by centaurs” to “drinking ours kitten off because no centaurs”. In next stage all crops will rot because farmers are all drunk and Queen Jennah will send us to “suppress” the rebelion. Most events will change into “steal alcohol from farmers”. In aftermath, farmers will go to Harathi Highlands and bring centaurs back so that they can enjoy their drinks and Queen Jennah let them alone. In all events farmers will be using plush pitchforks and centaurs wooden swords and once in a while there will be meta event where centaurs and farmers will smash themselves up with alcohol together and we have unique chance to play Belcher’s bluff with centaur leaders. This event will be always broken up by Shadow behemoth that is jelaous of the fun stuff happening in open world. True story I tell you!

You see I don’t agree entirely. Charr were made ultimate evil wanting to destroy humans, yet now they are “friends”. Abbadon was made “an evil” god, yet he brought magic to people (sorta Prometheus style). Dragons are destruction, death etc. etc., yet in some cases they are compared to forces of nature. “Is a storm evil because it destroys stuff and kills people?”.

I think writers want everything to be seen as crystal clear, yet it often has another layer of truth, that is not so crystal clear anymore. Note this is my very limited guild wars lore talking here

I personaly think, Queen Jennah is yet to show her true strength. She seem very capable politician if nothing else. If you wanna see what politicians are capable of, go watch Game of Thrones

This game does cover shades of gray, but it’s also only been almost a year. They haven’t done as much with the characters as they probably will in the future. Queen Jennah needs to be one of the characters that we really learn about and deal with more often in the future. Killing her, especially this early would be a huge waste for everyone and everything and wouldn’t make any sense right now.

I also don’t want another power struggle of choosing between who will lead, yet. We’ve just done the exact same thing with Lions Arch, we don’t need to do that again for a very long time.

I’m guessing the Consortium will go for the lowest bidder for the party supplies and give everyone in the city food poisoning. Kiel will then save the day by threatening to stab everyone in the stomach unless they stop throwing up.

Just want to ask, why do you all want the Queen to die so much? So that your Warrior Genes can snicker away with glee? Why stop there? Lets burn Divinity’s Reach to the ground while we are at it.

No survivors. Period.

I don’t want her to die. I want her to do something that earns our respect, and maybe a bit of fear. I want to see her do something that makes everyone say “Holy kitten!”, and quickly rethink any plans they had to mess with her.

I want her to prove that she didn’t call Logan back to Ebonhawke because she was a scared little princess. I want it to be clear that she’d only do something like that if she felt it was a sound tactical decision, even knowing what it might cost.

We have Trahearne, we don’t need a second worthless figurehead.

Sarcasm, delivered with a
delicate, brick-like subtlety.

I’m sorry but it is kinda obvious what will happen…Some of you came close but it’ll go like this.

Everyone is enjoying them self. Fancy music & fancy food. Every thing looks good.
Does it? Suddenly a loud screech in the air. Everyone looks up, shadows falling down on everyone. Thousands if not millions of flying Tengu. With insane speed they’ll fly down and start killing people. Some people will try to escape via the Asura gates but it’s no use…Every city will be over"flown" by Tengu. Nowhere to escape, nowhere to run. QJ is being attacked, surrounded by 10 Tengu. But surely Logan will save her!

Nope.

Logan is running towards his true love (who we all know is Rytlock) and saves him. QJ and all the rest cannot be save. They escape the city, manage to survive but there is nothing left…Finaly they find a place to hide. (somewhere with lots of water, Tengu don’t have water resistant feathers, weird stuff.) The few Tengu that try to get to them just get pushed into the water and drown. And after a week they all gave up. So in the end we will all be dead but atleast the happy couple will have a home. No one will be able to judge their weird love.

And on a side note, the mobs in CoF P1 will die from loneliness. No players to slauther them anymore

I’m not “current” with my Abaddon lore when it comes to his time before GW1 so I won’t comment on that, but the charr I kind of agree with. It’s one of the reasons why you won’t see me criticise the charr as a race for being boring. Unfortunately, we aren’t dealing with the charr (specifically anyway), we are dealing with Jennah. She doesn’t posses shades of grey.

Dragons are destruction, death etc. etc., yet in some cases they are compared to forces of nature. “Is a storm evil because it destroys stuff and kills people?”.

That sounded really cool until I played the story. Then I realised that an enemy that doesn’t think, doesn’t have motivations or reasons for it’s actions, it doesn’t have a background story to expose to understand why things are the way they are. It’s just powerful and destructive and we have to stop it… that’s not a very interesting enemy at all. Every time I complain about the Living Story having nothing to do with the Elder Dragons, the fact that they are “Forces of Nature” devoid of anything that would make them interesting villains is always at the back of my mind.

This isn’t an attack on GW2 writing (I do enough of that) but I don’t think it’s fair to compare it to Game of Thrones. That show is known for it’s ability to be dark and gritty, with villains that become heroes and heroes who lose. If Jennah were in Game of Thrones, she would have been killed long ago. Game of Thrones has a way of making you root for or at least sympathise with enemy. Sometimes it’s not even clear who the enemy is. The closest the Living Story came to that was Canach, yet we still had to have our hands held by Kiel who makes everything comfortable and clean for us in the end. Guild Wars 2 tries to be clean and sanitised. I think that limits the stories from achieving what Game of Thrones does each week.

Blimm hasn’t forgotten about a certain golem’s eye that went missing a few years ago. He plans to send a reanimated skeleton to the surface to petition the Queen to return it. By setting the palace on fire, of course.

I’m suddenly hoping for the game to develop a Pacific Rim twist where it turns out the Dragons are a hive mind and they have learned from Zhaitan’s defeat and now bide their time for their next assault while adapting to our new technology to fight them.

Also, the ability to fight one of the dragons in a giant robot.
