Why do Gambits cost Tickets?
Spirit of Faith [HOPE] – RIP
What? They cost tickets?
You pay to make the encounters harder? What gives? Do they even warn in the texts? I can’t remember what they say.
I wish that they did not cost tickets, makes learning fights through practice very very expensive.

Artificial Difficulty is fun says the man holding the bag of money.
To waste your tickets faster and maybe wring some gold out of you.
i dont know why they just did a frustrating content like this. its so extremly buggy and glitchy. and then 6 tokens for 1 try? i dont get it. what is the reason for doing a content like this? you dont have to be a very good player. you only need to know the few standard patterns of the bosses (its really not much) and then you need very much LUCK (reaaaaaally much luck)!

No they do not. I only noticed because my tickets were disappearing so fast u.u

If you disconnect or get booted from the game all those gambits disappear along with your tickets.
What? Are you kidding? You mean, on top of the ridiculous difficulty; buggy encounters that spawn multiple bosses, drag two players into the same fight, or just fail to work altogether; and the overall lag every world event brings… that these stupid gambits also cost frickin’ tickets?!
Why are the tickets SOULBOUND. The progress in the gauntlet and the achievements are ACCOUNT BOUND, so why on earth would the tickets be soulbound???
They weren’t at first and Anet changed them to be. The excuse was because people were making new toons to get 5 free tickets in the mail. My response to that, SO WHAT???? It’s not like the tickets are rare or valuable. The content is difficult on its own and having extra tickets doesn’t change that. A better fix would to have been to simply STOP MAILING THEM.
But, then again, why is this content gated at all?

Yes it does warn you. I found out when I was out of tickets and read what the gambit guy said.
As for being gated : a T3 champion is worth around 10 silver. Each gambit you win is also worth 10 silver + a chance at a material (I got a charged lodestone). The sniper guy (which I find to be the easiest) with 2 gambits (no dodge and cripple) is 30 silver in less than 2 minutes.
Easiest way to get money. It’s even better than CoF if you can place more gambits (maybe burning and tremor it stability works).
