Why would they bother sending land forces to attack the guarded emissaries when they could simply wait a few minutes and blow the defenseless balloons out of the sky?

Because it’s much better to send 2 hobbits to throw the ring in the lava than to send an eagle to fly over it. Oh wait, wrong lore….

Ya and this is why the pirates feel like clowns go wrong. Heck, Killer Clowns are scary then these bozos.

Honestly? I’d say because that sylvari, who I assume is Scarlet, orders them to for her own amusement. She doesn’t care about them.

She seems to have a rather disturbed love of playing with her foes. Kind of like the Nightmare Court.
