I’m not sure I understand what the video is showing. It just looks like you standing there for 2 minutes. Can you explain it?

He types something into the chat and it appears 1 minute and 49 seconds later. Due to lag.

It still relates. I had about the same amount of lag with attack commands as with chat delay. I pressed ‘6’ to heal, and 2 minutes later my character healed himself.

I might be wrong, but chat function is written almost in the core of the game. Some anet dev talked about this, this is why we have MAP chat in WvW and TEAM chat in PvE. The dev said they wanted to remove map chat from WvW, but they simply can’t (or it requires crazy amount of effort), so they decided to leave it as it is.

That may be the case, but if the servers were so under stress that even the chat started lagging…
