Was typing this in the main thread, but got locked as soon as I clicked reply. So here goes.

Can’t finish Phase 1 anymore after Phase 2 has begun.

Had the soggy bag and went to talk to Kiel, but Phase 2 started mid conversation. So I had to wait. Now when I try to talk to her, she doesn’t finish her dialogue. The dialogue box closes after you ask her who you should talk to. So nothing there and I still have a soggy bag.

As well, Kiel doesn’t return back to her spot or have a star on her head anymore. So it took some searching to finally find her, only to find out her dialogue cuts off after you ask her who to talk to.

So went to talk to Bligg, and he has nothing either. Just the usual information he always gives. Nothing new. Guessing he is supposed to give me the map fragment but since I can’t turn in the soggy bag, that is not happening.

So basically I can’t finish Phase 1 anymore now that Phase 2 started. Didn’t try any of this earlier cause everything was bugged, so figured I’d try it after work, and seems I won’t be able to do it now.

Same, but I can’t finish it because Canach vanished into thin air on Tarnished Coast.
I waited for him to start working for three hours yesterday, and today when I get on he’s just up and gone. Ugh.

In fairness, there was an official announcement about getting the map fragment before phase 2 started. But if they wanted to turn off phase 1, then they should have turned off phase 1. The boxes are still there, the crowbars are still there, the bag is still there, and the NPCs are still there. In fact, the NPC dialogues are still there, right up until Kiel’s breaks at the end.

So why can’t we still do this part of the quest? What’s the reason for disabling it?

Lame.

And Noll vanished in Caledon Forest. So it appears that ANet’s promis of being able to finish the bugged steps in phase one was a lie.

This is indeed frustrating since phase one has been broken from the start. I’ve been online except for meals, sleep and two hour break each day so far and bugged NPCs blocked progress other than getting the bag and first map piece that directs to noll. Is it that they need to patch the game to make phase one active again or what? So everyone can do it since it was broke the whole time?

The chest wouldn’t open in Kessex Hills, so I wasn’t able to finish Miyani’s quest…
