Hello guys. just checked the exchange rates etc and I’m a little confused.

The recipe requires a 1.04s item, to get a key you need 285 of them, now the cost of using level 80 items is too high so 60 is reasonable as you can grab Peach Cookies for 1c, so 1.40s per 2 tokens. Now that’s still around 1.8g per key, excuse my math, whereas you can grab a key for 125 gems, or 1.25g from the store. You can see that’s a little odd.

Then you have the Ori picks, which are about 33, so 18 ish silver per, for a pick thats 2.5x better than the 4s version, about 10s to get the same from a normal vender.

So even buying the cheapest possible food you can, you still lose by quite a margin. Now I was really excited about this recipe becuase you can appreciate the idea of removing certain supply from the game but I think you over-priced the 1.4s mystic forge item!

The whole point is to get rid of money and give you nothing in return thats why the rewards are trash like gathering/salvage and weapon skins.

Level 80 blues got me close to 20 tokens. So I have no clue what your talking about. Its fine. Just play around with the different item levels and stop blaming A-Net for your impatience to learn better methods.

I’m not blaming them for anything. I’m commenting on the quality of their goldsink, which is toptier. I made 2800 tokens last night using low level greens for a cost of 20c/token, even still the rewards are just trash.

Gold sinks are handy to counter things like, say, endless Plinx runs. =)

Yes, because everyone in the game sat at plinx 24 hours a day.

To anyone that just wants a lionguard skin for their weapon, get 10 CCC’s and pick one up. There’s nothing else of value.

I’ve checked most recipes now. weapons are better for it, but food still suffers greatly.
