I am just curious nor am I against buying more bank slots, but is there plans to add a collection slot for passion fruit, karka shells, and rare crafting materials (lodestones, cores, etc)?

I agree with this, I would much rather these items being able to go into the collections section so they aren’t taking up space in storage, bank/self.

You need to buy additional bank slots to bank these items. Arenanet doesn’t do things for free you know.

Yes please… We need it for the Halloween stuff as well, I’m getting really sick of having to cart around all of this stuff that I have no space for. These are crafting items, we should have the ability to put them in the collectables tab.

Please allow me to pay 400-600 gems for a “rare crafting items” tab in collections. I just dont want it to clutter the regular bank slots.

Crap, I would do this. I would pay for that, since you know, they prob won’t give it for free.

I talked to a content designer in game last night before going to sleep and asked her about rare/the new crafting materials storage and her response was “I hope so! I am running out of bank space.” and asked her to look into it for us. I am not sure if anything will come out of that, but it was worth a shot.

Please let us know if there’s a plan for this or not devs. Thanks.

I want this to happen so bad. Crafting materials should not take up regular bank slots, thats one of the great things about this game’s crafting is that you can put them into their own storage and do so from anywhere.

And its not like the collection tab is unlimited, its got the same 250 stack limit that anything has, so you’re still stuck using bank slots for anything beyond that. So people who want to stockpile it will still need to buy bank slots, if thats the only reason they’re leaving it this way is to force people to do that.

This is a must. They added slots for the miniatures. They should add also for new materials, ingredients, ingredient-dishes, crafted components, and rare, exotic and legendary materials.

I have all the bank slots and I still could use more room, but I’d rather have stackable things use their own slots.

And these materials are just like the other materials, why can’t they go in the Collections section?

I have essences and shards and whatnot that are stacking in my bank, wasting space, and I don’t have the resources to buy additional space. What’s the deal?

I have already maxed out my bank slots, and they are getting full fast between the stacks of extra mats, halloween event items, and not this event. I wont be able to make it though wintetsday, nether the less anything else.

So here some ideas:
1) Make it so you can upgrade the current mat tabs to hold 500, 750, 1000 and so on up as upgrade tiers but cost gems to do so.
2) Add rare/event crafting material storage publishable with gems.
3) Add crafted crafting material storage for weapon, armor and food that you craft but are still materials. Also bought with gems.

I am in no way against gems for storage, Anet gets money and people can just buy gems with gold to unlock them.

More storage is always a good thing,esp for a pack rat such as me.

You know, my bank is quite full right now. I do appreciate that extra slot.
I’m more than sure it’s coming. I suspect they just haven’t had enough time to implement it by the event.

It may seem unimpressive on its own, but one bank slot adds up fast when you’ve got multiple items that could be treated this way. Already we’ve got 4 Halloween event crafting items and 2-3 from this event. Thats 7 bank slots right there, which is a little under 1/4 the space of unupgraded bank storage.

And thats not even taking into account future events that will almost certainly add more materials and rare crafting materials (like Shards and Essence) which could also be added to the existing collectables bank to free up space.

It’d be nice to have all of the crafting-related materials in the collections-tab — I’m not comfortable with them becoming “scattered” throughout boxes. Event-items I don’t mind as much — they can match a “theme” for storage — but the stones/etc I rather just sell than keep unorganized.

I assume, however, that these new basic materials will be in the “collections” tab — makes no sense otherwise. It may have been delayed from “lack of time”, however, or to keep the material-names discrete (if viable).

I noticed they did add some collectables slots for some of the items used for acended gear already so I’m not sure more will be coming for the Karka and Passionfruit.

So what you’re saying is you already have 250 destroyer slivers, fragments, shards, cores, lodestones and every other type of rare crafting material, thus you would have to filter into your bank slots to hold any extras?

Right now, as it stands, you have to put any of those materials in your bank slots. I have 16 bank slots dedicated to various vile essence, destroyer, glacial, corrupted, etc mats. With rare crafting material storage, I would be able to gain 16 bank slots because those mats would go in their own space. So tell me more how this wouldn’t be useful. I really shouldn’t have had to explain that…
