Has anyone opened many of these?

I bought 1 individually, opened it to get 1 blue quality dye and 1 yellow quality dye.

I then bought 5 together, opened all 5 to get 9 blue quality dyes and 1 green quality dyes, with no yellow quality in sight.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I was thinking along the same lines as you, then I realized the blonde moment I was having. They mean the dyes themselves are blue and yellow, not that the quality is blue and yellow.

Kind of like the Halloween dyes they had for sale.

Yeah, I read it twice, too.

When ArenaNet means “green” they say “masterwork”

When they mean “yellow” they say “rare”

Yeah, these are actually blue and yellow coloured dyes – to match with the amour colours of the new Consortium NPC’s around LA. xD

legendary exotic rare masterwork fine common junk = qualities

Sounds like those stories where pple are scammed buying stuff online.

That’s an unfortunate way of putting it. I didn’t make this mistake but I’m sure many will.

Are they colours that can only be obtained from these packs, or are they the same colours we always had available?

It’s a scam, for new players. Think about it out of the whole rainbow, they pick yellow and blue? Not only that though but why add these new additions? There is already a dye pack, so why do they have to do yellow and blue for each holiday? To see how much money they can rip off.

They did the same thing for Halloween, selling colour packs in orange etc. Blue and yellow are the colours of the consortium.

Also, only players abbreviate rarities to the colour of the text, Anet use the correct terms.

It was completely obvious that they were selling blue and yellow coloured dyes.

Talk of scams is just silly.
