I am extremely happy that the precursors dropped like they did. No, I didn’t get one. I am 100% okay with them doing this to help balance out the prices of the top end items. What’s the best way to stop bots from owning the market? Destroy the market so it becomes impossible to own. I’m okay with that again. They have always stated they want the market to be a buyer’s market, not a sellers market. This is probably the smartest, most awesome idea they could have come up with.

Sure, maybe you didn’t get one. But honestly, it’s better for all of us now that many of the people did. I think it’s creative problem solving. Do you have the right to be angry, possibly. Look at the greater good. Did it help fix the market—absolutely.

So all in all, I am pleased with how things turned out.

PS—Please do not make this into a complain fest. We have enough of those. How about some positive stuff this time around?

There are a lot of complaints out there that are not constructive at all, however I don’t see many positives from the execution of this event. There are so many things ANet did not account for that this whole event seemed very sloppy and unprofessional. I’m not going to completely derail this thread, but on a scale of 1 – 10, this event is about a 2.

I did not care for how the event was carried out in the end, but getting the precursor market to realistic levels is a good thing. My problem with it now is that unless you attended the event you have no chance of having an equal, or near equal, chance of reproducing it. There should be an alternative way for those who could not attend or those who did attend and got nothing to at least have a shot at a precursor weapon.

Now that the event is over it is back to gambling at the forge in an attempt to get one. Also, how long can we realistically expect the precursor market to stay low with a one time infusion with no way to sustain supply?
