GW1 has a buffer thing that saves drops you haven’t picked up and shows you them later.

GW2 badly needs this.

I participated in a 3 hour event for this new lost shore not only was it unbearably laggy but at the end i died from the lag and when i went to the waypoint. I never loaded… in fact i lost connection from the server. I try to log back on and I cant join the server i was on because people that already have got chests from other servers are trying to force themselves on the overlflow! This is bull crap i should be able to get a reward for 3 hours of work you assinine company needs to think things through you jerks.

Same thing happened to me, bugged under the map during the last fight…stuck in lava…yay no chest..

Just about the same. Near the end, lag got so bad I was disconnected. Logged back in and found myself in an overflow that had finished the event. Tried reconnecting in hopes of ending up in an overflow that hadn’t finished, but no luck. What a total waste of those hours.

I didn’t get logged out really,but it did kick me out to character select.Had the Ancient Karka almost to its hole when that happened and so I went back in but got sent to a different overflow.Event had ended there so I kept re entering to try to get back to my original overflow to no luck.So I’m in the same boat as a lot of people,spent over 2 hours doing the event and got nothing for it.(thing is until the end bit i didn’t have any lag at all really)

They better not try to sweep this under the carpet. Or this will be beginning of the end. There are too many pissed ppl right now.

Same for me as well! Had crashing issues throughout event, but I stuck with it, thinking a reward at the end would make it worth it. Saw the Ancient die, cutscene started, then crash. Nothing. Nothing but repair costs. Complete waste of time.

Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever been this angry at a game before. Waste almost 3 hours with an event to get absolutely nothing. I could deal with the bugs, as they extended them, etc to make up for it. But now I miss the chest at the end (meaning I miss precursors, exotics, 20 slot boxes, etc…basically 100g+). I don’t even know what to do with myself right now.

WTF some of my friends got precursors. I got nothing. This update is total 100% fail for me. Ive never been so mad at a game. Arnt games supposed to be fun?

On top of that the drop rate of golds in the world are crap sense the update. Im going for Twilight and I need ecto.

I dont even feal like playing now.

“Incorrect Password” came up during the final stage after spending 2 hours and got kicked out of my overflow map.

Disconnected during the final phase. That was ridiculous.

Same thing happened to me, they could at least re-do the event or send us the items we missed out on. Spent 3 hours doing this thinking I was going to get something. Instead I just wasted my time. Been trying to relog in and out to get onto an overflow that hasn’t done it, but no luck. So far alot of the “special events” have been disappointing so far.

same here, i spent about 2 to 3 hours on this event, but right at the end GW2 decides to crash on me. by the time i had logged in and got to my same overflow server, the chest was gone and i was pissed.

I also missed the chest. I had died in an area no one could reach me to rez me. I waypointed and the chest disappeared in front of me. I just bought this game and am starting to wonder if it was worth it.

Last event that I’m ever doing. I’m not even going to bother if a simple dc will waste my time.

Same kitten thing here. Dartaea on Tarnished Coast. Right after the lobster fell into the pot my game lost connection to the server. ZERO LOOT for two plus hours of fighting.

I’m sure it’s your/our fault for not having good enough connections etc etc.

The event was bad. The rewards are good enough to screw people over. A LOT of people got screwed in one way or another.

I will be quite surprised if those who got screwed get any kind of unscrewing.

It was a bit over two hours. Server disconnects me as we’re destroying the webbing to hold the thing in place and log back in immediately to an overflow that already completed the event. Tried reconnecting a few more times and no go. Still all overflows that had finished. I wasn’t even that annoyed until I saw that people were getting 20 slot bags and exotics. I sent in a ticket, and I really hope we’re getting some of this stuff mailed to us.

Died during the last phase and went to WP. Got stuck on the forever WP load then kicked. Couldn’t get back into my overflow with my party because invites and the like wasn’t working. So I wasted 2 hours doing this entire boring event only to get nothing for doing so.

There should be a log showing completion of the event chain. Those that completed them should have a chest made available to them.

I just wasted 2 hours or more… This is unacceptable. I’m trying to logout and back but I can never end in the server I was… All other are now finished… WTF!!!! I’m so pissed right now…

Boring event, killing thousands of the same mobs in different sizes just to get a disconnect in the end…

Same here, disconnected as I was literally running to the chest. I log back in immediately and the chest is gone.

Guild mate made 300 gold from Dusk. I lost 11 silver in repairs with no chest rewards. GG, seems fair.

The same happened to me…the lag was so bad I got d/c’d right before the end and was sent to an overflow where the even was completed. What a waste of over 2 hours. Sure glad I’m not paying a monthly subscription for this BS…

What a real disappointment, I’ve been doing this event from start to finish only to get disconnected. I got killed at the last part of event and when I chose to wp back all I get is the loading screen and crashed. When I finally log back in I cannot even go to my overflow server. Anet should compensate those who got dced. I’m sure they will know who really got dced or not.

Same thing happened to me. After hours of doing the event, right before we finally kill the guy, I died and then got stuck on a loading screen. Reloaded the game and everyone’s talking about these great rewards, but there’s no chest for me.

Same here I disconnected right before phase two ended three times on three different overflows. Then on phase three I got to see a glimpse of the cave then my game just kept on crashing.

Spent several hours on this event, only to miss the chest at the very end. I have a very limited amount of free time, and to get screwed like that at the end is frustrating. I may have to take a break from this game. I tried hard, but if a matter of a couple minutes means missing the entire reward then screw this.

Yeah, nothing for me either. What makes it even worse is I know people who are switching overflows and getting multiple chests…

This event could not have been more buggy.

same happened to me. sound bug crash and the event was over. didn’t get rewards.

My game crashed just as we were exploding the last thermal vent. reloaded the game and ended up in a different overflow server where the ancient karka was already dead. lost out on the end reward…

2 1/2 hours and 4 game breaking bugs disconnecting me, and come back and see people throwing around a 20 slot bag and 4 rare’s/exotics, some of the precursors, is the worst feeling possible, I can’t even play right now because how crappy I feel.

No response to fix this, guess it’ll get swept under the rug or they’ll say, Oh well it was a one time event sorry!

Wow I just got to the end part of the final phase of defeating the Karka only to be disconnected within 30 seconds of completing the event.

Had to log back in and now I get 0 reward for my contribution. Really Anet? That sux! How about mailing us a reward for our efforts (I’m sure I’m not the only person this has happened to?)

A bit fed up..? there I was fighting away… kept dying… rezzing and repairing… all money gone in repair costs… get down to the lower levels and BANG… kicked out. Got back in. Event over and not chest. Fed up? Mmmm… more like screaming at the computer screen

Please Anet… You can check my game account, was there like the OP right up until the last moment when I was kicked out.

spent over 2 hours doing the event, then kicked to character select and put into overflow. this is a load of crap.

Compensation won’t happen and I imagine a few hundred – low thousand people at the least will be quitting. Some people getting 300-400gold out of this event while we’re left with nothing but a 11silver repair fee.

95% reinforcements defeated, crashed, and now can’t get into any overflow where event is already not finished :/
