Someone in the zerg I was in got Dusk.

You get an Exotic Triforge ring and a 20 slot bag. You also get random exotics/rares (a lot too!).

I attached a screenshot of what some of my guildies got (read the chat).

I got an earring with stats like Triforge. Got the 20 slot bag. Exotic wand called Anura, an Exotic Crystalline Sword and 2 random rares.

I’m guessing the rewards were only available to those who landed a few good hits on the enemy and weren’t disconnected? Congrats on the loot!

I got NOTHING because I got disconnected 5 mins before the event finished. And I was there busting my kitten since the start.

Is it possible to get that reward more than 1 time by getting to different overflows that finish faster or slower? Someone on my overflow already knew about the bag when we had not yet finished.

He said he did it already(probably on another overflow). But could have been tht he only got the info from forums.

Would be a bit disappointing of others could use this to get more reward. I hope they mad an accountwide check to allow only 1 chest per account to be looted.

The rewards were at the end of the event chain, where you kill the Legendary Karka at the bottom of the nest.

I got a huge repair bill after spending 2 hours in the event. On the plus side, the nearby WP went contest partway through the fight and I got a REALLY AWESOME +magic find drop from that event! Yea! Rock on!

At least Charlie Brown would have gotten a rock.

And some guy on my server got The Legend (legendary staff precursor)…

2.5 hours for a lvl 78 exotic. bleh.

Love it when people in your party get Zap etc, and I get random little 1g exotics. Always great.

No – I tried getting a second chest in overflow, you can’t loot it

Got some exotics and the 20 slot bag (my fav). Very nice rewards. The two hour grind on the event is pretty annoying but at least you get something.

I must say, that to my amazement the loot WAS good enough to balance the lot of problems during the event itself (that made it much harder that it would have been otherwise – invisible long-distance AoE nuker mobs ftw).

Your reward for managing to stay connected and awake through one of the most broken and poorly designed events ever put out.

I didnt get any loot from the ancient karka boss because of the heavy lag at the end of the fight it had put me in the lava and no one could res me so i had to run back and by the time i got in the enterance i saw that the chest had despawned and that was like after 2 mins. Why did something of that scale and that ammount of time make it so the chest despawns that fast so for the 2 or 3 hours of the lag fest i got no loot at all anyways ? arena net are you going to give the chest loot to the people that missed out on the chest in that type of situation?

And I’ve just ragequit because of intolerable lag. :\

lmao so they have jormag type events…ppl get blues and they cry…they add this in one time only….hand out a 20 slot box….fyi that is over 10g in a value and give out exotics and ppl still cry…you ppl are amazing

I can only hope that at least five thousand people remained connected to get the loot. Flooded market means low prices for me. :P

Wow. I did the first two events and ended up with nothing to show for it, in part due to the lack of rewards and in part due to the fact that I had trouble getting credit for any of the veteran or champion mobs (I’d hit the mob often 10+ times and still not even qualify to get experience).

I had some other things to do today so I figured I’d sit out the final event given that none of the other events had worthwhile rewards. Looks like I was wrong ><

I got to walk up to the chest only to have it disappear!

You can’t be serious… an UFO crashed me at the end of the kitten event…

So I participate in every single event and they give zero or close to zero rewards, I log off due to this unbearable event and it’s actually the only one who drops redicolous rewards?

I played through 2 hours of the event. But I lost connection right before the Ancient Karkan died. The boss was dead and the chest gone before I could loot it. So I actually lost a lot of silver for repairs of gear.

Quite a few ppl I saw got leaf of kudzu, I got an ogden piece, dragonfury, 2 rares and the karka bag and accessory

Crazy amount of precursors in the chest, lots of people got one.

And you know, this BS excuse the fanoboys post of “it’s free” doesn’t fly. It’s not free. It cost $60 to buy with the assumption it would be playable. Furthermore, those of us who aren’t so poor we live in rags do buy things in the game shop. Or, in my case, I should say DID buy things. I won’t make that mistake again if this is the sort of crap we get in return.

sigh… Had to leave during the herding the Ancient Karka through the steam vents… For some of us, it’s Monday morning… and there’s this unfortunate event called ‘work’ orz

Got Zho’s Coat, some pauldron (forgot name), 20 slot bag and some ring or back item, didn’t get a closer look, had to log off right after.

I didnt get kitten. Event is bugged so ppl are randomly crashing. Happened to me 3 different times. Wouldnt be so bad but each time my contribution was wiped clear. On top of that I came back in to 3 different overflows, at 3 different points in the event, till finally on the last crash I come back in to NO EVENT!! It was already over. So the last 2 1/2 hours were a complete waste and I had died, and fought, and killed for nothing. Even the drops were grey item vendor trash. This by far is the worst example of an “Event” I have ever seen in any MMO that including WoW for 5 yrs, Rift, SWTOR, and this game. All this work to have stupid “overflow” bugs. You should have planned on all the ppl that dont play, jumping in for the event and crashing the servers. This was such BS and a waste of time. If this is what GW2 is and has planned for the future I’ll write this game off as a complete and total loss.

I didn’t get anything worth major value. And I still am quite happy with the event. 20 slot box (10g value) Accessory with amazing stats (probably another 5-10g value)

Quit your complaining. Man up. And deal with the fact that you were unlucky, yet still got fantastic rewards.

And check this out. This is an event within 3 months of the game being out. There is still much, much more to come. You’ll have your day in the spotlight eventually. Just stick to it and quite being a whiny kitten.

Let me break this down for you.

I can make a 20 slot box any time I want. Getting one box won’t do much for my account at all anyway, I’ve got adequate space already. I guess it’s great and all, but it doesn’t give me a piece of useable end game gear.

If the event had given me 30 chunks of Ori Orr, I’d be happy as a clam. I don’t even need to receive an exotic.

Random is random, but you can’t give one player an item so valuable he’ll never have to farm anything ever again, and give another player who did the same thing jack all.

Well the reward at the end was better than expected, just a bit iffy that some got all the account bound things (20 slot box etc) and upwards of 200+ gold (precursor weapons) and others got all the account bound things (20 slot box) and not more than 2 gold (basic named weapons).

No offence to the people who got the great weapons, but perhaps they should have limited it to just standard exotics and not the precursors.

Why not give everyone a (untradeable) precursor of choice instead of this stupid RNG?

I got 5 ectos worth of rares and a level 78 exotic.

Talk about bull, what about all the people who DC’d during the event after putting 2 hours of their time into it.

Also those that, after participating for 2 hours, took a quick bio break to come back and have the chest disappear before they could reach it. And not receiving any other event credit.

What about the people who lived in the wrong timezones ?
The people who would have missed out even if there weren’t any bugs.

I also got only crap yellows and a worthless exotic (50s or so) + the guranted reward.
While some people in my guild got a precursor.

Yep, Crap yellows, 2 level 60 exotics, and the guarentee reward. Not cool, Anet.

Exact same thing happened to me. I disconnected right when we were chasing the ancient Karka into the hive, and I have been play from when the event started to 2:50 PST. I got virtually nothing from that entire event, and it was nothing but a grind.
