I went through the difficult process of explaining to my wife why I needed two hours in the middle of the day to play the Halloween event, and then was thorougly disappointed that the big hype for the “one time event” was a cutscene which would then repeat itself over and over again all day anyway.

I did not attend today’s event. Lag aside, how did it compare?

BOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG <—- Basically just a giant long grind fest… The cut scene wasn’t even that interesting, and suffered from bugs of no sound when the Karka appeared.

Spent more time offline from game crashes (happening a lot since patch) and frozen in lag or waiting to be revived that enjoying. I looted almost nothing because I could not move.

It was boring, and the rewards from Lionguard Lyn are trash. 285 CCC’s for a Black Lion Key. The weapons are 1300 for exotic and same skin as the karma Lions arch.

All in all I’ll get the achievements than go grind fractals til anet decides to nerf it.

lags, lags, lags

It was awful…so much lag! :(

The monster of all lags rose from the water and cast a freezing spell on us all.Many fell at the lighthouse today.

Super laggy! Massive disapointment!
I got 4 Disconects and my actions really happening one minute later, Including attacks, revives and some times even chat!

I eventually gave up and came here to rant about it!

Very laggy. Barely functioning framerate and responsiveness the whole time. I didn’t lose connection or crash but the performance was very bad.

I do not approve of LA being used for this. The area just seems to take up too much memory and have too much going on to run a massive event on top of that.

Please consider spreading the load better, devs.

Boring and laggy.

Imagine a “special amazing event” that you decide to spend ALT-Tabed out.

I get more thrill out of 1 skill/trait balance change than this.
