the title displays it all! FIX THE LAG ARENANET!!!! it isent fun having to wait 10 minutes for a mob to die or for a skill to press

What’s more frustrating is constantly dying to invisible enemies because the client doesn’t update their location until they’ve already killed you.

FIX IT! Nobody needs buggy events and guest passes if the game keeps crashing, lagging and events and other stuff breaks in regular basis.

You did not add cool new stuff, you messed up the existing game even worse.

Invisible enemies, silent dialogues, lag. kitten this event could be so good, yet these things spoil it.

I’ve not had any lag during any of these events. Are you sure it’s server lag and not just crappy FPS?

Crappy FPS would not effect me playing in other areas…

I’ve not had any lag either – was expecting to, but was pleasantly surprised.

May depends on EU/US and on server itself…

I’m not sure why it affects some and not others. Seems like there are some areas and ISPs that get hardly any bandwidth to the servers, and others that are doing just fine.

From other threads, basically all of Italy has had bad connections to GW2 for weeks. I’ve had similar problems at the other end of the world mainly late at night, except this weekend when it’s just been lagging non-stop (in GW1 as well). It’s clearly not an ISP problem though, because universally, all of these people have no problems with other games.

(Nothing to do with system specs either, that’s not “lag”, it’s framerate.)

It seems that the GW2 servers allocate a certain amount of bandwidth to certain IP ranges, and if you’re in an overloaded IP block you’re screwed.

Perhaps I should try playing through a US-based proxy and see what happens…

I had two or three times since headstart when I had lags and most of the time they were gone after one or two hours. But since event start it’s unplayable lagging what I never had before.

This is one-time event after all! Missing that atmosphere nearly angers me and perahps many other people who cannot fully immerse.
I see trees that fall in southsun cove, but they don’t make any sounds. I see tons of projectiles hitting emptiness. I die from that emptiness. I see subtitles of npc speaking, but can’t hear it.
Huge chunk of content slips through our fingers.

Just like it was with mad king’s jokes. Silent jokes. I haven’t even heard them, until that compilation on youtube emerged.

Sad.

I had freeze frame yesterday but was ok today.There wasn’t that much happening tonight like yesterdays opening event to cause the lag really.
