I think I get it now.....
They should just, freaking, have a whole 24 hour day where the big chest is in the map for people who didn’t loot the chest already on sunday.
Shores aren’t the only thing we LOST.
They should just stop bringing out One Day Events that are unplayable by majority of their player-base.
Just because it wasn’t playable for you, it doesn’t mean it was the same for the majority. Those who play don’t come on the forums to complain.
I actually hope they do this more often. And the difficulty was just right, had multiple wipes but still managed. The length though made it kinda boring after the first hour, especially since a lot of the time was spent on the reinforcements.

Glad you had fun. Sucks I bought the same game but live on the other side of the world and therefore am not important enough for Anet to care about when it comes to the timing of these great events, yes let’s all “hope they do this more often”
…

I agree – I have no problem with these big live events, and even though I was one of the unlucky ones with disconnection problems, I really appreciate the effort and wonderful design of the new zone, the new dungeon etc. The final karka event was really epic in scale and my sons and I had great fun playing it while it was working. After Halloween I was really looking forward to Lost Shores and I hope Anet keep these interesting events and new content coming. I’m looking forward to Wintersday.
BUT – I do hope they learn from the problems of the Lost Shores event. It is such a shame that an event with so much potential suffered from so many simultaneous problems for so many people. GW1 was my first MMO and I have always had a huge amount of respect for the Anet team – it would be so sad for this to be shaken by a recurring pattern of problems like this.
