Karka, minions of bubbles?
“The best defense is a strong offense.”
If they are minions of the dragon, it’s likely they are scouts or the start of a full invasion of Zhaitan’s territory now that he is dead.
There was a similar creature in GW Factions.

I can’t say I remember any enemies that look like the love child of a giant crab and a giant leech.
The previews on external sites imply they’ve been driven from the depths. So either Bubbles is literally driving them (and controlling them) or Bubbles is using even more fierce creatures to drive the karka to the shores. The latter would not bode well for us.

Especially when you consider just what in the hell other kinds of abominations are down there.
I think it are creatures that got pushed further into tyria by bubbles’ minions. (Although I think I read they are in the Lost Shores for some time now)

Ah yes the Leviathans, if this is what they are (or at least related to) they’ve come a long way from home, since they reside mainly within the jade sea.
Edit: I found the wiki page here

Probably had something to do with this design. I’m just hoping they’re not annoying to fight. This new area now sounds quite a bit different than I had initially thought.

Strange, I honestly do not remember seeing those. Where exactly in the jade sea could they be found?
It is in “the Deep” which was a endgame dungeon in GW1.
As you play “the Deep” there are hints that Kanaxai may actually be a Champion of “Bubbles” because of how he is able to corrupt the Luxons who went into the Deep and how he commands and creates these Leviathans, Oni, and other types of tentacle like abominations.

The main place I remember them from was zos shiros channel (possibly wrong spelling..) the first challenge mission in the jade sea.

So then it could well be that we are going to be dealing with minions of bubbles! (I’m deferentially going to need to go through the deep again!)

Ya that basically it. There are also NPCs like Dauv Merishahl in GW1 who says that the Oni maybe the Advance stage of the Corruption for Outcast (Luxons who have been corrupted) which hints more into Kanaxai being one of Bubble’s champions

Does anyone hope they actually keep the nickname Bubbles for the dragon?
He’ll probably have some epic, dangerous name when they finally reveal the Deep Sea Dragon, but would an NPC taunting him with the name “bubbles” be so much to ask for?

The final boss in CoE uses the skills “Teeth of Primordus”, “Tooth of Jormag”, and “Teeth of Mordremoth” this perhaps suggests that Bubbles real name is Mordremoth or perhaps a 6th dragon…
Mordramoth uses earth though. Bubbles is water. Unless he’s like the god Poseiden who uses earth to control ater?
Also, slightly offtopic, but where are people getting the skill names for enemies? How do you know the names of attacks which subject alpha uses?
Makes me wonder if the 6 gods are somehow tied to the dragons….
like if the dragons are awake.. the gods are gone… and if the gods are active the dragons are asleep….
It’d be cool if it had something to do with Orr.
Considering Orr used to be submerged and everything.
Mordremoth might be the dragon over in Maguuna Wastes.
Mordremoth might be the dragon over in Maguuna Wastes.
Well Mordremoth is the 6th dragon because of the element the attack is. The attacks are named after each Elder Dragon after all.
keep this coming folk! i am extremely green in terms of gw lore. slowly broadening my horizons. this is awesome.
this just makes me all the more excited for the coming battles and expansions.
do you reckon there’d be a setting for a large scale underwater battle against a dragon or tooth / claw of Bubbles? from my understanding, who is the underwater dragon.
time to upgrade my level 6 watermask. O_______o

I Recon bubbles is going to fly over LA. That’s my guess as to why we become under attack

I hope they are associated with bubbles. We need to see the other elder dragons more then just 10 minutes before we kill them so that they have their own agency and seem to be more legitimate threats.
