I got around 3,000 Exp, 100 karma och 2 silver..
Really.. and this is what you created patch, facebookpages, news about?
Is it broken or is this what you had in mind? No Epic reward for those who fought?

Be glad you actually got a reward. A lot of people got disconnected and relogged into a different overflow where it had already ended…

Ye but not all of us can take part of all phases. Should’t there be one reward for each part and perhaps a bigger for those to fought all three?

As Mays said, be glad you even got a reward, I didn’t get any. And I even help turning in those kraka-things….

It’s not like my reward were any ground breaking.. I would get better exp from doin hearts or other events on the map. But good though… (fail event from my part)

At least you got something. My game crashed right before the end of the event and I got nothing.

Really annoying… I was there the entire event, must have zapped at 100 crabs that died. Only got credit for 3, bronze medal, negligible rewards and only one piece of crab junk drop. Good times!

I got gold medal for dying 3 lag deaths and rewarded xp ,karma, and 1 copper.

It seems to me that this event was broken and/or messy. Epic lag, unusable skills, invisible enemy, invisible players, Ancient Karka died (?) without fight, no chest (even a chest with vendor trash in it could be a reward) Nothing. ANet can’t fix it unless they write the netcode again from the ground up.

Judging by the performance of this phase and the inclusion of trial players, the other two phases are going to be flat out broken.

Legendary, you got something for the event, just not what you wanted. Too bad the creators of the game didn’t come talk to you before hand and ask if the rewards were up to your standards. And again, there are other people out there who didn’t get anything. So stop the qq.

Redo the event properly or it didn’t happen

Ok there was way too much lag for the big Lost Shores event today. And

to give us confidence for other big events give us a lag free way of

doing it. Like Halloween the events were recurring except for the Mad

Kings showboating at the beginning.

Just to avoid the headache of server loading issues space out the main

events and let them be recurring for a whole day at least so people

can login whenever with much less lag.

Sorry to complain this is a big and fun game for the most part.

Did you not read what I said. I didn’t receive anything. I could honestly care less. It’s a video game that I payed 60 dollars for. I have gotten way more content than most games that cost $60.

Like all flashpan events, i expect there to be no material good as a reward. That actually got xp, karma and coin was somewhat unexpected imo.

This happened to me.

I guess I’m cool with not getting any sort of tangible reward – it would have been nice, but I can live without it – but I’m disappointed that after the effort I put in I didn’t even get to see how it ended.

I got disconnected and found myself in an overflow with a bunch of other people who were also asking, “Wait, what just happened?” and all I had to indicate I’d even been there was a repair bill.

I guess it’s good that so many people wanted to play. It was just kind of a personal disappointment that it ended on such a down note for me. Hopefully if there was a cutscene, I can find it on YouTube.

i got 69 karma. and have not idea what to do with the crates and debris on the shore. or where the commendations are coming from.

the cutscene showed the lighthouse half there. nothing to expectations.

Unless there is a completion bonus for doing all 3 no one who who missed the event missed much. The reward was a standard DE allotment. 17K XP and 1.5-1.7 silver (didn’t note the actual karma points at the time).

For a 45 min event mostly fraught with lag and a bit of confusion.

is there any information regarding this? If you complete all 3 events?

If you don’t like it.

Don’t play it.

You got to play new content.

You don’t need an award for everything just for showing up.

The “no reward” thing in GW2 is getting really old imo

Fight a Champion mob with 2 people for 20 minutes, get nothing (no chest). Or fight a Champion and get a chest, but with a minute chance on a yellow item which in itself is worthless. Or combine 4 yellows in the forge and have a minute chance of getting an orange item back which in itself is worth no more then the amount of Ectoplasm it will yield.

Seriously, the only thing worth doing at the moment imo is the Dailies, since you get a solid amount of Karma for that now, which can yield you Orr armor.

There are no rare mobs in GW2 with a chance of special loot, the chests contain crap, and the whole RNG/Black Lion chests with zero in them is only suitable for people with a gambling problem.

I realize GW 2 has to make money, but I am loosing all interest.

I completely agree. The champion boss fight issue and no rewards is getting very old, thanks for dropping a white item or nothing at all, lame!

I really hate to complain, but this is a little ridiculous. This entire event has been bugged but I still tuned in to see the end. I spent over 2 hours on a dragonbrand overflow server, wasting a lot of money on armor repairs and teleporting…only to be disconnected during the rock slide portion of the event. I know this happened to a lot of people too. When I logged back in, I was in a overflow server where the event had already finished and I received no reward. Is there anyway this can be corrected? There should be a way to reward people who spent significant time on the event even if they weren’t at the end, why were so many people disconnected??

Seconded. A similar event happened to me on an overflow server. 2 hours wasted.

Same thing happened to me. I was in an overflow server and had participated in the entire event. I was disconnected right at the end, so I did not see the finish and did not receive any rewards for the 2.5 hours of play time.

I am certain that Arena net will understand the problem and compensate all the individuals who lost their progress.

I had the exact same thing happen on Yak’s Bend. Really disappointed with what happened.

yep same thing here, lag so bad in the overflow i was in couldn’t play then got kicked b4 event finished anyway.

Yes. Same here. 2 hours of intense fighting. Like suddenly the game crashed, it took me a while to get back in. However into a different overflow where the event was over. Of course I missed the rest incl. the chest. Feels like I haven’t participated at all and like I have wasted my time.

yeah same thing happened to me with the disconnect, nothing like dedicating 2-3hrs of your time to a game and getting nothing for it :/ Im not holding my breathe that anything will be done about it. What a disapointment.

I waited for phase 3 to begin so I was a part of the whole phase and got screwed out of the loot at the end. Died at the very end of phase 3 down the ramp to kill Ancient Karka so i didnt get to loot the chest and now I have to do it all over again. And if i do (and a big if) I have to make sure not to die from the hatchlings on the way down.

Seriously pissed right now and very dissatisfied. Got rezzed after they killed the ancient so i get the pleasure of seeing everyone else complete it and get the loot. I want compensation Anet

figures by the time i got rezzed and to the chest it vanished right in front of me and no reward for all my time. I am so blessed with luck.

I had the same problem. stood in the cavern at the end (At least I think it was the end) with the lion guards not going down to set the explosives off, just standing there. And then it crashed and I can’t log back in.
I bought the game during the weekend too, started off as an invited guest as did my son who also crashed even though he wasn’t in the event.
Well done a’net, good way to introduce new players to your game.

Not even lag or disconnects, the game makes a whirring sound before it shuts down, and I know this because it screams it as loud as my computer can allow right before it gives me an error screen. First two times sent me right back from the ancient karka back to the demolition part. The third only sent me back during the early parts of the karka event and finally the last sent me to the end, after he’s dead.

Two and a half hours wasted on absolutely nothing. No reward, no slap on the back, and undoubtedly no reprimands to players who, like me, were screwed out of a reward not do to anything on our end like meeting the time, but by servers unable to contain players or the game crashing repeatedly for unknown reasons.

One time event for a cinematic, that’s fine, but for something you put enough effort into and get nothing, it’s embarrassing. This wasn’t a great time to use the free trial either, we can’t get any additional players if this is the end result of a Once-In-A-Lifetime event.

I crashed shortly before the end and didn’t even get to see it because login servers were down. And apparently, I wasn’t the only one. It’s silly.

Me too, I know it’s just a game, but still. I guess I should be happy to have been able to be in the epic battle. It was fun for what it was worth. No reward at all just frustrates me.

Yep, was ressing people up and down the ramp, got to the bottom, poof, no chest. It was only up a few minutes, it really should have stayed longer. So disappointing.

Yeah I spent like 2 hours on it and the friggin chest wasn’t there when I went to get it. I’m ready to explode at ANet for not keeping it there longer… one wasted afternoon. Yet Again.
