Most of you are either raging about the event, not receiving loot or just plain whining about crap.

I’m a level 30 Asura Elementalist, I have been playing since launch and have many characters, not one of them is 80.

I went into this weekend being told I would be boosted to 80 so I can play it like everyone else. I spent the entire weekend fighting Karka and ignoring my wife

The final event hit today and I like many people got very bored fighting reinforcements, but I kept playing and didn’t stop. As a level 30 I was watching people afk before my eyes while I continued to fight.

Then the chest. That god kitten chest. I didn’t see it at first, then all my guild mates on TS told me about it. So I ran over after they exclaimed they had gotten Dusk and whatnot.

What did I get? Level 39 Rares. The bag and the earring. That was it for me. I had no chance no % not even a glimmer of hope to get one of these items.

As a low level who worked hard and put his heart and soul into completing this event I feel completely shafted by the fact that because I’m not level 80 I’m at a dis-advantage to receive items when I am boosted up during an event like this.

I know most people are going to just say that it’s fair and I should just level up. But it’s not. If I wanted to, I could have just ignored Friday and Saturday, sat around leveling all-day and maybe gotten to 50. But I decided to play. and I feel like I’ve been penalized for it.

I played the event with my 24 ranger. I got two 39 rares, two 65 exotics, and the karka chest with the two 80 exotics in it. My two other guildmates got a similar spread of rewards, and we were all on some lower-level alts in our 20s.

So I got an account bound 20-slot exotic bag and a great level 80 exotic earring. How much gold are those two alone worth? Account-bound, so I can give them to one of my level 80 mains. I sold one of the 69 exotics for 1.7 gold. The other I’m holding onto to sell later. Who needs exotics at level 69? You blow by that so fast. Same for the 35 golds. I’d say 1.7 gold in pure profit plus two nice level 80 exotic items is a very nice reward for the time spent. I couldn’t farm up 15 gold (or more) in that same amount of time farming in Orr.

But if had been kept an 80 event you would have gotten nothing at all.

I feel your pain, OP. I have 5 characters that I play more or less equally, and the highest level character (and the one I used) was my level 40 Sylvari Necromancer. I got similarly-powered gear to yours from the end chest.

I more or less expected something like this after my experiences with the Mad King Dungeon, but MMOs have generally always punished those who favour lots of alts as opposed to somebody who focuses on a main. It sucks, but there’s practically no chance that this will change. :|

Aside from the bag, which I didn’t need as I have 5 slots and 14 slot bags already (Seriously, I have so much space) and the 2 rares that I couldn’t even sell on the BLTP

The only thing that seems to be worth any value was the earing, and everyone got that. My point still stands that I feel shafted because I’m a lower level

Oh also, I made quite a lot of gold in the last few days playing with the trading post so even if I wanted bigger bags, it’s not a problem.

To clarify: I wouldn’t have wanted to sell a precursor, I’d use it. I’m annoyed that I didn’t have a chance to get one.

Not to be a downer or anything but the reasoning behind downleveld items is equip and usage (is geared towards those who are at that level). For a level 40 to be able to use a level 80 weapon would take really long no? WIth that thought in mind down’d weapons makes sense.
