Guild Wars 2

So I get home from work last night semi-excited to join in all the “fun” of the new event and jump on TS only to find that the one guy in my guild that is always excited for this stuff and always in a good mood is pissed off and griping about the event already (10pm est).

He explains where we are supposed to go and what we need to do and 3 of the 5 npc’s I need to interact with are bugged so I waste over an hour teleporting around the map and trying different overflows to find one that isn’t completely broken to no avail. After this utter disappointment we decide to do the new super fun awesome dungeon we have been hearing so much about. Get in, everything going great…He gets knocked off path….glitched…fail…have to leave dungeon.

So, because I actually have a job and it isn’t “regular” mon-fri 9-5 I don’t get to see or do the one-time events and since it has been anounced that we have to COMPLETE phase one by today I guess I can’t do the rest of the event either because I have to work all day.

So, in summary:

Logged on after one-time event and missed it

Got quests from npc’s in LA

1st quest guy = glitched
2nd quest guy = glitched
3rd quest guy = YAY!!! completed
4th quest guy = glitched
5th quest guy = completed

gave up on quests….

Dungeon…party member falls…we all fail

2AM….bedtime

Not allowed to complete event now since I could not finish phase 1 on time.

Thanks Anet for wasting our time with this bugfest of an event. I have an idea…How aboutn TESTING things before release? Or maybe allowing time for those of us that paid for your game and don’t work normal days/hours to complete the events like everyone that doesn’t work or has weekends off. And I know….You already have my money so my opinion doesn’t count anymore.

Same here,i was really looking forward to the event unlike many others..Yesterday was a complete bugging lagfest,,couldnt see the mobs attacking lions arch,couldnt attack,couldnt use skills,got Zip for doing Nothing.Tried to enter the dungeon,Bugge out !!! , Pretty dissapointing to say the least,not so eager to even try it again today tbh.

They’re apparently extending Phase 1 into Phase 2 of today and have been apparently pushing through fixes for the NPC’s.

Have to admit some major disappointment on a few levels though, not even related to the buggyness but the overall lack of anything interesting item-wise.

Extending doesn’t help when I have to work 10 hours today…I wouldn’t know about the new items because I was unable to complete anything so that I could even see them.

You can complete the rest of the phases… And I’m pretty sure those NPCs will be there during the rest of the event (hopefully they start working)

As for me, I liked the dungeon looks, the grind…not so much

You didn’t miss much during the one time event which was basically a lag fest where you had to press 111111 (auto attack wasn’t working) and kill karkas then run to the other side and watch a 2 second cut scene of a karka smashing the lighthouse in half. Not much at all :P
