AFAIK phase 1 seems to have ended despite promises it would continue.
Yeah, this is annoying. First todays event doesnt trigger, then Noll is removed, so I cant finnish that part ither… It was bugged before, and they promised it would stay upp, so we could finnish upp after todays event, but… no event, and no noll.
noll isnt available on sanctum of rall either. i really don’t know what is going on with ANet. They say you can do phase 1 after phase 2 starts. well hello… phase 2 has already started and phase 1 is still buggy. also, there seems to be no clarification if you can still do phase 1 if you didnt get the map fragment.
this company seriously needs to learn how to communicate to their player base properly.
1 hour ago they said on Twitter: “Hey folks, we are looking into the events that are not working. ^MK”
So I assume they’re working on the missing Noll. They said we’d be able to finish Phase 1, so I’m sure they’re working on it.

again though, it just goes to show how frogged up their communications are. not everyone is on twitter. people expect updates through the forums and it’s just really annoying when they provide updated information through a different channel that not everyone really checks.
Yeah too bad they didn’t let us know you wouldn’t be able to get the map fragment after phase 2 started until 15 minutes before it started.. so now a lot of people are only able to do the quests on one toon because they were under the impression that ALL of phase 1 would be available during the entire event.. not just the second half of it.

What do you mean? No part of phase 1 is possible. You cant do the start because the two plaza NPCs arent there. You cant finish it because all other NPCs arent there either.
Personally I am stuck on the very last part – the stupid quaggan was bugged so even if I did turn in the three items to her so she could remember, she never gave me the final item.
And even if I had said items… The plaza NPCs are still gone.
They said Kiel and Levvi will spawn in two places so don’t worry, we’ll be able to finish Phase 1, as long as you played up to the part where you got the map.

The whole event is a mess, all the players are confused ~ we don’t know what is going on with anet, very little communication – forum mods are handing out forum infractions like Christmas presents – so far, everything has been extremely poor quality, and very poor support from anet.
There has been no reports, no comments transmitted to players about the status of Phase 1, pretty much everyone is stuck at any of the steps ranging from Noll and beyond. Lets not even talk about Phase 2, as I see this event being a major PR problem for Arena-net and damage control needs to happen, lets see what happens tomorrow when most of the players don’t receive the once-in-a-lifetime rewards. Expect the QQ to really spiral out of control.
Lets not even talk about the event today that didn’t happen for thousands of players.

You receive the item by mail. Just in case, did you check that you have enough storage space to receive it.
yeah we are at Noll right now and he’s nowhere to be seen.. so true.. ALL of phase 1 is not working right now.
I would have just liked to be able to do phase one on my other characters after they supposedly fix the NPC parts.. and that’s my point.. they put out an announcement 15 min before phase2 started saying don’t worry.. you can still complete phase 1 as long as you have the map fragment (which leaves only a couple of minutes to get it on each toon) and in reality you can’t even finish it on the toons who DO have the fragment.
The barrels and stuff are still there on the shore.. we just can’t use them to start phase1 on alts. They could have let us know yesterday that we wouldn’t be able to start it after p2 started. I wouldn’t have done fractals all day thinking I could just do it later.

Noll is gone, vanished. Taht npc was bugged almost all event, I had no chance to get it. Si, it was impossible to complete the pahse I with teh npc bugged.
Now that NPCs are gone… so the event is more impossible to complete than before.
Looks like the new build put Noll back in.. but he’s not responding.. lol.
I still would be stoked if they would put the option to start phase 1 quests on alts back in the game.. considering they gave us no warning we would be unable to do so until right before it was removed.
During mad king you could get the first/2nd parts of the book all thru the event. What is the point of taking out the beginning of phase one for this event? What would the harm be in letting it remain?
he’s up and working but there are still 50 ppl all trying to do the same thing so as soon as he is up he’s is dead before you can even get a hit in. Complete waste of time. Horrible horrible horrible idea.
he is green and unattackable until the event starts.. then u kill the mobs and get event credit. THEN you have to talk to him again and you will get mail.. which sends you to the next part.
Now if only I could do this on more than one character….
Up, and bugged. Tried two overflows and my home realm.
He was working fine the first day, until he vanished (accidentally killed I assume). On the second day, he didn’t die, but after a few defeats, he’d simply lie on the ground with his gaurds, which is what he’s doing now, again.
Edit: I stand corrected. Tarnished coast – He reset finally, after a long wait, and I was able to defeat him and get my mail. His ‘reset’ timer after being defeated in the event is a lot longer now, than it was previously.
It was something like 15 seconds before, feels about 10 minutes now.

In practice, almost impossible. We already tried convincing others for 2 hours to leave Noll alone for 5 minutes, it didn’t work – every 15 seconds someone talked regardless of numerous /map and /say messages in Caledon Forest and around Noll.
I got a mail, nothing else… Should I’ve gotten something else?
I did read the mail, deleted it and not sure what’s next. Probably my fault, but I didn’t have the feeling that the mail gave any hint for where to check out next!? :-/
go to canach: upstairs in this house located on the SE corner of Kessex Hills just west of Garenhoff. Kill him and talk to him for the next part.
if you get stuck there are guides.. also u can ask people in chat around you at the last part you finished. when they are done they will probably head to the next place.

Seems like you are on same planet as I am… Oh gosh it must mean the end of the world. I’m somewhat expecting suspensions here. God forbid someone criticizes anet. Asian censorship doesn’t mix well with criticism…
Noll is on a five minute cool down timer, so if it’s not working for you right now, just wait for a bit.
I do hope the lesson has been learnt for the future, that minimal interaction is the way to go for special event npc’s, where a large percentage of your game population is all in the same place.
Having Noll and the others tied to even a simple event chain simply doesn’t work – didn’t you guys figure that out after the halloween doors debacle?
