Unlike some people, I work the most during the weekends. Even so, I was able to ask off for Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, and all day Sunday. I’m eastern U.S., so this would give me some time to check out the events.
So Thank You for the heads up, in time for me to ask off from work for those times!
So today I got to hang out and wait for the one-time event. Giant crabs came and lagged us HARD. I’ve never experienced lag in gw2 before today. This wasn’t just a stutter, it was like hit skills and stand there.
It was really exciting….I spent alot of time trying to res ppl. I main Mesmer, and most of my skills didn’t hurt the egg layers, but most didn’t fire at all. I just stood there alot. I tried to res ppl alot, cus there was alot to res, but even hitting F to res seemed to look alot like Standing There.
When I needed to heal, I had to run away and hit heal for like…..forever till it hit.
I’m really glad I got the heads up in time to ask off from work. And I’m really glad I was there for the event, though it may not sound like it. Somehow, we pushed the crabs back, and all was fine and dandy.
But it sort of sucks to have a Mesmer that you’re good with, that is only good for ressing ppl, and even that was sketchy. Mk?

Edit: OH! :O I forgot to mention why I’m so grateful that I got the time off from work to do this. If I hadn’t, I’d imagine that I had missed something Super Fun, that didn’t resemble Standing There at all, and that I’d always feel cheated out of something that was really not worth crying over for three days in advance….as if that would ever happen.
