Howdy folks, I tried google for this but couldnt find anything so posting here.

I have a busy weekend and have been trying to do this event, but standing at a buggy npc for ages is not my idea of fun. I have Noll/Canach/Fahd still to do, but I honestly dont think I have the patience.

I am just wondering if there is anything amazing I would miss out on if I didnt get this event done. Please dont get me wrong, I am not a ‘carrot on a stick’ type of player, I enjoy the game and play for entertainment.

Does anybody know what the end results are? Can I still fo Fractels and the Island event at some point, even if I dont finish this investigation?

You can do Fractals anyway, but since people assume that you will Ascendant items after the end of the hunt, you wont get this.

Well, the rewards for the actual investigations are pretty lackluster — a jug of liquid karma and 3 Captain’s Commendations. I have no idea if they chain into something worthwhile during phase 2 and 3, or if even doing phase 1 is necessary.

So far you get 1 vial of Karma, 1 jug of Karma, and 5 captain commendations. There is no doubt you will get something more at end of the total investigation Saturday or Sunday in Part 2/3; but what it is we don’t know. Assuming it will be some piece of gear of some kind though.

And there is no requirement to do Fractals in terms of having to complete anything before it.

I’d say just check back on the forums or in-game a while after the second part starts and see if its worth your time at that point.

As far as I can tell there is no reward for completing the investigation mission. I spoke to Inspector Ellen Kiel after collecting all the pieces and got nothing but thanks.

There was a reward from Head Researcher Levvi of 1 jug of karma and 5 captain’s commendations.
