Sidekicking/Speed leveling in Lost Shores...
Maybe it’s like the mad king’s labyrinth, My lvl 80 character did get a lot more XP from events/kills than my lvl 30 one.
Stuff I got on my lvl 30 also was around the level of my character, except for some items in the chest.
But yeah, for this stuff we’ll have to wait and see.
Likely, note that word, the only advantage to taking a lowbie into the LS content will be the zerg of folks in there doing stuff. Take advantage of it if you can for some free, mindless leveling.
Thanks all. I reckon you’re right Phantom, will be so many events (i say this like I have even the foggiest idea) going off left right and centre that will be a relatively quick place to level. Yeah and stuff. Etc.
I have a level 4 ranger, and I have about 5 hours to level him before the event kicks off, I reckon I should be nearly level 10 by then, Im looking forward to the event but I wasnt sure of the advantages and disadvantages of doing it, regardless im looking forward to it.
Well the disadvantages to getting scaled is that you won’t be “as powerful” as a true lvl 80. You’ll just have the base stats of a lvl 80, 916 in each stat. Other big things are you won’t have the higher lvl skills or the trait points. I’m just not sure how your weapon/ armor scales.
Of the options I can think of:
1) You only get what you’re wearing (ie very low lvl things): doubt this is the case, considering you can do damage
2) Your weapons/armor scale to the same stats of the rarity that matches what you’re using (ie lvl 10 green weapon, has the stats of a lvl 80 green weapon). [I’ve heard people say this is the case, but I’m not sure]
3) You just get scaled to a set rarity of gear at lvl 80 (ie, lvl 10 blue weapon, has the stats of a lvl 80 white weapon)
It’s most likely option 2 or 3, so you will be doing less damage/have less armor than someone at lvl 80. But considering you can use lvl 80 green items without much trouble you should be fine to use lower lvl alts.
If it’s anything like the Mad King Labrynth and Ascent into Madness, it will be very lucrative for lower-levels.
