On the Aspenwood server, like many others, I didn’t get to finish the final event. Bumped into one of the ANet folks (Citizen Snips) as we were standing around the corpse of the Ancient. A group of us chatted with him, and then began an epic journey together. We rambled all over the place, killing as we went. I think there were about 6-7 of us total, just rampaging across the land. Snips decided to do the Stepping Stones and we fell in defeat many times, but thanks is no small part to Karina, an outstanding Mesmer who kept dropping portals for those of us cursed with fumble-thumbs, we made it to the end. We lucky few decided to take on the Champion and after a nasty fight we took it down.
After our victory, we rambled across the land again until we bumped into the Broodmother, bane of my life who had slaughtered me every time I tried to take her on. With Snips and our hearty band, we once again triumphed, and immediately took on the Champion Shark.
I didn’t get to finish the event, but thanks to that little band of misfits and Citizen Snips, I ended up having the most fun I’ve had in a while. All in all, I can’t really complain much, and Karina gets all the healing she can use if I bump into her in WvWvW as thanks for the Portals she kept dropping for us.
