Like many people, I was disconnected right before the end and therefore was unable to get the chest.

However, ANet have logs of who was taking part in the final event. So it would make sense to compile a list of these accounts and make an NPC in LA to hand out unclaimed rewards.
Since the chest had unique values, it should be easy to find the logs of those who already looted the chest and so block them from being able to interact with the NPC or claim further rewards.
Im hoping this is what is being done

I didnt get a pre cursor out of the chest, can I do it again aswell?

I do not think it’s fair to loot the chest more than once, especially since you already got a precursor. Most people (including me) did not even get a precursor, yet I am happy to have been able to participate and receive my reward. People should not get greedy and try to scam Anet, I know for a fact a lot of people are trying this with the “oh I am so unlucky, I lagged out right before I could loot the chest” how “convenient”. Now don’t get me wrong I am not trying to bash on those who where indeed unfortunate enough not to get their rewards, but I’m just saying if you did, please try and be nice about this. If Anet does indeed have a log of you already looting the chest, accept it and move on.

At the end of the day Anet is pumping out update after update, patches after patches. We get FREE content every month and when things go wrong they do their best to help solve every problem, yet forums get spammed with QQ threads.

Anyway, sorry for the “rant” I just wanted to thank Anet for the content update. I really enjoyed the event (despite a tad bit of lag =P). Keep up the good work!

free content* is only to keep us happy to buy in game gems and the next expansion… this isn’t a charity it’s a business.

I’m really hoping everyone who participated in one of the events gets a reward.
The timing of the event was bad and I wasn’t expecting it to take 2-3 hours to complete.

I completed everything but the final event. I hope they count in people like me too.

The timing was terrible. A sunday night, really? It is a big joke!

i wasted 3 days doing lost shore events only for the server to crash mid anciant battle,i rejoined into an overflow where it had already finished……..so i have spent all that time and effort for no reward at all.thanks alot anet.

I had to leave for work right after the part of breaking the 12 gas pockets. I did everything else and no reward ><. PLEASE AreaNet, atleast give me something for my 3 hours of work.

If they do hand out a reward it will be for pretty much everyone, wether you were there or not, lagged out or already had the reward. They already stated elsewhere in an account recovery thread that they do not log information on an account basis so there is no way of knowing if you did it or not, hence extra rewards would be for all I am guessing.

If that is the case I am also, again guessing, that would not include precursors.

Only about 1% of you actually read my fist post properly. I explained how people would still only get one chance of opening the chest, the loot would be in the same table as the event AND only those who would have got the chest (if they stayed connected) will get it.

ANd what about the people (like me) that weren’t able to log on to the servers during the event?! I spend 2.5 hours trying to logon and never even got at the charracter select screen. Are we not to be helped? I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only one unable to logon at all…

yes, i was also unable to logon due to login server issues.

so far that makes 5 of us…

Yes I am aware that the thoughts I had didn’t cover those who failed to attent the event all together.
This would mean the event has to be re-run (taking into account those who already looted the chest)
However, this would come with it’s own problems.
A: It takes hours
B: It may take even longer a second time as only those who had issues will be playing it
C: Nobody really knows the number of effected people, so the servers may do the same thing all over again.
