Anet can tell who was exploiting the peppers in the first week. What is stopping Anet from finding out who participated in any capacity and compensating them?

I mean, at least refund our repair bills.

PFFfffttt… you really think they going to reward someone who got booted multiple times and finally hit with patch at the end of event?
get real… either u gona get a “pet rock” compensation. or most likely none what so ever. wont even get an apology.

Um…they’ve already said they were doing that. Working on a way to compensate players who dc, got booted, lagged, etc and couldnt finish.

… If this is anything to go by, only people who were at the final boss will get a reward, which is fair enough. But what about hundreds of others like me, who never even got to that part because we were all foolishly repeating the event chain in vain for hours, over and over and over again in several overflows after being either disconnected or having our game crash? I WISH I could have gotten to the boss, I TRIED my hardest to for hours, but it just didn’t work out for me. I hope people in my situation will also get some consideration from Anet.

Its frustrating, but its probably worth waiting for this … “compensation”

Well I was smart and masochistic when I first got DC’d from my overflow. I didn’t want to wait so I went into a friends overflow and completed it there. But that meant I had to do the event TWICE. It is like cutting myself for things I can’t use. Wait it was. :/

Apparently people who only got to the boss & killed it but weren’t able to loot the chest will be viable for compensation. Which makes me a tad annoyed, considering I spent a few hours myself, doing the event with buggy servers & tremendous lagg all to get kicked from a new build.

We won’t get anything remotely close to what they got from the chest. We’ll get like, 100 Gems in the Gem Shop or something else completely useless.

That depends at what time you were attempting it? Were you attempting it at the allocated time of 12noon PST or were you trying it through one of the bugged rehash attempts on different overflows?

well thx really couldnt understand rest of my party was playing fine but i couldnt get bck in happened right at the part where boss soon bck to catapults near air wall. n i was on time

I woke up at 5am, I’m Australian, so it was a very early start. I began the event as soon as it started, and after 3 hours I had made no progress because by that stage i’d been in 6 different overflows repeating it all. I gave up for a couple hours, only to return and find out overflows were still running the event. I tried my luck, and after about another hour I finally got a spot in an overflow. I made it further than I ever had, and then the new build happened. -sigh-
