I still never put a foot in lost shores, are you guys sure you found that shore? One thing I learn playing gw2 is never participate in your one time events, you can keep all this. I’m a ww player anyway, when you got something for www’s and IN www… send me a pm.

Btw, try not to lose anymore shores, mountains or what ever pices of landscape tiria still misses.

It was really nice event but there was one mistake that i was lagged all time. 5s delays in skills use, cannot move, repairs cost more than event profit, neverending loading…etc. I was really disappointed with this event.

Arena you know how many players play this game and you still make so lag events. We have now trial players on game and you make one-time event when hundred of players fight on one time? Total nonsense, lags was so huge that many players cannot load to map, other cannot move or use skills. It was really very bad work today from your side!!!!

It may be live, but it’s bugged as hell… lag, lag, & more lag & don’t forget those all important missing NPC’s. Maybe those poor NPC’s found those ’hole’s in the map where you just fall thru & get stuck… Bless their little hearts! Dev’s are you out there????

Don’t usually post on game forums tbh but I just wanted to say a massive thanks to the people who worked on the update. Just spent the last few (well not that few tbh) hours in the fractal dungeons and I must say they are really well designed with loads of interesting mechanics and (most importantly to me) were so much fun – it’s been a long time since I enjoyed an evenings gaming so much.

I imagine I’ll get accused of being some sort of fanboy for actually liking something on a forum but I can live with that as I’ll be busy in-game enjoying myself rather than complaining on forums.

When will we have a posting about the MAJOR bugs with this event? None of us can finish the quests, and the dungeon, as beautiful as it is, is buggy to no end. Guildies even hate partying in it because of random disconnects that make everyone have to start from the beginning. It wouldn’t be bad if it counts every zone as a level, but nooo. You have to complete 3 to move on. Our guildies had to re do the entire dungeon 5 times before we gave up because we kept losing people.

Please inform your players on the status’s of the issues.

I agree on the bugs.
As a casual player (level 40) I was very anxious to enter this new “improved” dungeon.
Well, we got swarmed aaaalll the way, a guildmate got rooted forever (had to log out) and I got small spikes of lag (partially due to the crowd that was on I think…)

I’m just a casual player and when something doesn’t suit me or I don’t like it, I go do something else. But you guys should open up a bugs topic, where people can report bugs they encounter.

I’m back to leveling to 60 for this weekend. So I can buy some stylish gear.

(btw, I like it when there are no respawns. Why? Feels like a weak mechanism to expand playtime. At least, in a controlled environment like this dungeon…)

I logged off after tying to play with hundreds of players during the 1st one-time event due to lag. It was not fun at all, and I seriously doubt I will bother with any other one-time events.

The Mad King cutscene worked well I think, and honestly there’s no reason for it to only happen at the same time for everyone — just queue it up the first time someone logs in to the area.

I don’t know what you lot are complaining about. I had a blast. I did have a bit of trouble with the overflow in Lion’s Arch, but that’s what I get for trying to go to do the Shatterer and Tequatl right before a major event.

In any case, even back when I had a kitten computer, I loved these zerg-rush-like events. It feels so epic, being part of an army of players. And instead of simply killing invaders, we’re taking the fight to THEM, and taking THEIR island.

It’s just awesome.

Although the lack of direction is something that I think could be worked on, but, eh, live and learn, right?

Loving it so far here. I skipped the Phase 1 Lion’s Arch event myself – I had a feeling it would be laggy, so I just didn’t bother. I logged on shortly after that ended and got involved in the scavenger hunt, but Canach was broken so I quit. Still, not really bothered by a bugged NPC.

Today I joined the event just as the ship to the Shores opened, and I was amazed. An actual siege on a beach! We came and conquered, and now it’s ours for good! Very little lag (I was in Overflow, but there was still a 100+ man zerg), and no busted events or NPCs. I followed the events all the way down to Camp Karka, where the zerg split up.

The karka are very fun to fight (they remind me of titans with their multiple phases). And brutal! I’ve been defeated two or three times just because I was running solo. This is not a friendly zone, and I love it.

Really looking forward to tomorrow’s finale, and good job guys! Lag and bugs are part of the medium, and they’re not exactly gamebreaking. If they’re the price to pay for a living world, I’ll happily deal with them.

Could you please bring back Levvi? Phase 1 was extended but you took out Levvi. How are we supposed to turn in our stuff? You left all the other NPC’s but took out the one we have to turn everything into?

Thinks this is a big waste of time, why do you bother telling people about this event when the big stuff doesn’t even last 30 minutes so those of us with lives can’t even witness them and the other stuff doesn’t work so you can’t progress to the next person or turn stuff in and get any sort of reward. Why have the part 1 stuff end? The rest is all end game stuff so don’t bother with these events just say your adding end game stuff.

I can’t find anything. The whole event has been like this – missed all the story lines.

You sound like some of my guildies, learn to read what NPCs say…unless they break :/

I have mixed feelings about this event…

On one end I did enjoy it… I felt like on a massive raid with a lot people fighting for the same goal.

On the other hand I have to express some dissappointment for the bugs, the massive lag and the fact that I was not able to do everything like I was planing.

I do hope that you learn from this experience so that it does not repeat… I am confident that your next event will be even better that this…

I still like guide wars and will continue to play. I did however begin to waver in that dedication when, during the one time events, my skill bar stopped responding, I couldn’t see anything other than player aoe effects which was all due to lag. At one point I has at least a 32 second lag. This is a great game that was soiled over the weekend by a poor QA policy or team (which ever). Please don’t betray your talent, amazing vision and your community with content that is unusable. You only get one chance to show you are as good as you say.

the new map I will give the design team a big clap, looks great what I have seen.

the event,now you need to get damage control out it is one big fail to your community.
1.. if I was you ,remove the nice screen shots taken by your employee before the mob gets even more ferial, cause it shows a lack of respect for this community that have issues with the event yet your team got to play it?
2.. get the boss up and get him in here and read how upset your customers are, either they are pissed at being dised in the last few mins and not getting there rewards or they are like me feeling totally discriminated against because of where I live.

3. get a sticky up with a some what where sryy and working on it and address the now bs that you have cause by making an elite group within the game with one off special items,remeber Pandas and Kanza minis???

love the game and the hard work that the design team are doing and have done, now show this community that the bosses can deliver as good as their team has done.

LOved the idea, Loved the Seige (Saving private ryan/Starship troopers )Stlye. HAted the LAck of Communication of where to start. When I have to read a forum an or Wiki to find my way around an event .. somthing is truly wrong there. The disconnects were very brutal (atleast 5), so i had to give up thur most of the epic fights. LAg an Battle makes me a poor Broken armour fighter.

I played GW2 for 1.094 hours and 44 minutes in the past 2 months, it’s Tuesday 20/11/2012 16:01 PM , I have not logged into GW2 yet , indeed this Lost Shores was a world changing event. I totally lost my motivation to play the game, I’m totally disappointed about the whole way they treat their loyal customers.

ANet iw as really a fan of GW, but with GW2 is was getting more excited until Halloween and now! YOU CLEARLY don’t look at you EUROPEAN OR EVEN MORE EASTERN FANS!

YOU ONLY BRING OUT THIS HUGE 1 TIME EVENTS FOR AMERICA IT SEEMS!

I never saw you guys making so much mistakes in such a short time!

I even played gw1 10 times more then wow!!

i’m really losing my fate now.

Get you PR focused better on EUROPE and such!

WHy don’t make this event appear more times and such limit the chest loot one time?
So people who don’t life in America or work in shifts can enjoy the new content also???
