What abt ppl who lagged too much to play p3?
You sure it’s not your computer or internet?
And what about your graphic settings, for big events like this where a lot is happening, low graphic settings is the way to go.
The all Lost Shores zones was incredible lagly during last phase.
This is NOT my ISP or comp (30 mbitsec bandwidth, min 50 FPS in any zergs with high settings, game installed on the SSD)
And I didnt recieved any rewards.
Seafarer’s Rest (EU): Liicher (Engi), Lii Cher (Warrior), Swf (Elem),
Licharr (Guard), Lich Eir (Ranger), Alt Fh (Thief). Lii Cherr (Mesm), S Wf (Necr)
As someone who has a 10 mb connection and uses a craptop 5 years old, I have 1 thing to say.
No excuse. I did the event, got credit, despite the lagtastic 1 FPS I had. Emphasis on the 1.
Ofc I checked internet first, DSL speed test shows download speed of 5mb and upload of 500kb, tried downloading stuff and was getting speed of 250kb/s, so its definitely not my internet, as to computer, I can tell the difference between graphic lag and server lag, graphic lag don freeze screen for 4 sec then suddenly fast forward,
and the lag don jus accure on lost shore, it was the same for Aarah when there was jus 5 of us, and Ive had over 2500 arah tokens altogther, meaning I hav done it more times than i care to count, never ever lag like this, same apply to when I was doing PvE on cursed shore which had almsot no players at all, only 4 ppl at plinx, so its definitely not my PC or graphic setting either, the only thing I can think of is server side issue.
Also, I hav a friend who hav the exact same PC and use the same ISP, he was not lagging the way I do, it lags for him but playable.
Here is my previous post on lagging since sat https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Dungeons-are-lagging-very-badly/first#post784601
The entire event lagged for me (60mb/s connection and PC that can play game on full settings at an average of 45fps) but it wasn’t constant. Sometimes I’d have maybe 0.5sec of lag and others I’d be sat for 2-5 mins watching everyone on my screen stand around waving at the Karka. However, my friend has a 10mb/s connection (same overflow server, same ISP; lives 4 streets away) and he wasn’t getting much lag at all. I don’t really know enough about networking to explain this but maybe someone else on here could…

Well this kind of behavior is not unusal for GW2, dono if u remember, during the first week of launch, some ppl could not connect to server or log in, while others were able to play the game jus fine, so it kind of shows that the server has always only giv trouble to certain players and not others, exactly wat is the condition that caused these issues I do not know, obviously since I don work in Anet, but its appearnt to me that they hav not fixed the core issue of their server since launch, I heard there was also ppl last night that couldnt even log into the server, so yeah the treatment everyone get is not the same at all.
Now nothing lags at all, both PvE and dungeon is perfectly fine, even further confirm the lag last weekend was due to server overload.
